We had the opportunity to dine at this restaurant during a recent trip. They were actually recommended by our hotel who managed to get us an early reservation. Which is a very good idea on a Saturday night because it was packed by 8 o’clock. The interior is cute and quaint with a view of the cathedral. the wine list is extensive and handsomely written on chalkboards on an interior wall. Definitely take their recommendations. The food was an absolute star. Amazing dishes, my wife had a dessert that we’ve never seen before. This is elevated cuisine offered in a casual style. Definitely make this a stop when in Bayeux

Absolutely fantastic food. The best I've enjoyed for many years. Beautiful, creative, seasonal menu clearly cooked by a team of passionate chefs. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. A great and warm welcome from all at L'Alcove made sure our night was memorable. The food is incredible. Highly recommend you visit. Thank you to the team.

We had a superb meal from the fixed menu on our first night in Bayeux. We chose the fish and rabbit for our main courses and both were brilliant. The wine list was good and fairly priced and I recommend the calvados cocktail! If you visit you will not be disappointed

The food was inventive for a small town in Normandy, but a little bland at times. Produce and preparation was very fresh tho which helped the overall meal. Service was quick and attentive, the whole place is very charming to sit and have a meal.
