This place is ever sooooo cool! The best Calais vibe. Limited menu but everything on it is yummilicious as when you travel part of a large group of people you get to try lot of foods on the menu and it is very rarely that 27 different people will agree all at once that the food was delicious. So this place is a must when in town. Excellent customer service even on a Saturday night when it was jam packed.

Came here for a Sunday brunch with my family.
Wow. The brunch was amazing and poached eggs (eggs Benedict) cooked to perfection.
Absolutely delicious, lots to eat and very reasonably priced.
Thoroughly recommend!
Poachtastic!!!

Le Chill is a great place to eat. The beef was very good and the duck tasted really good as well. The service was very efficient and the staff were very friendly. The beer topped off the meal nicely, we will return again when in town.

We had the “sharing beef fillet” it was not at all as expected but it was incredible. It was served ample amounts of steak with chips and a salad garnish and plenty of sauce options. The steak, we cooked ourselves using the rosemary infused oil fondue; which made for an overall fun and exciting experience. It was delicious! For dessert I had the banana split which was also very good! Superb cocktails too, would come back to Calais just for this!

We ordered two cappuccinos and an orange juice. A cappuccino is a simple drink: (lbasic recipe of a cappuccino: an espresso, about 25 ml of coffee, mixed with 100 ml of steamed milk to create a dense and creamy foam. The drink we were served was a layering of coffee, something strange in the middle, and then a watery foam that, once mixed, gave a burnt and bitter taste with no consistency. I finished it because I needed the caffeine, my wife could not make it.
The orange juice was 120 cl of tasteless oranges, the kind you find at the supermarket for 1.50 euros per kilo. They were kind enough to bring some water, but without the glasses to drink it.
All of this for 15 euros. Why?
The place is nice and the staff is quite friendly, but I can't give a second star because we chose it over others precisely due to the excellent reviews.

Le Channel
This is a pleasant spot to eat before crossing the Channel. It has an elegant decor, classic cuisine, seafood, and a fine wine list (cellar opens onto restaurant).

Aquar'aile
This pleasant top-floor restaurant boasts a peerless panoramic view over the Strait of Dover and the English coast… it is like something you would expect to see in a painting! The food showcases locally caught fish: lobster casserole, sea bass in a salt crust, sole meunière. To be washed down with a good wine chosen from a list carefully curated by the proprietor.

Le Grand Bleu
The chef, Matthieu Colin, puts the experience he gained in Michelin-starred establishments to good use. In a lovely contemporary interior, he continues to pay tribute to local fishing, but also brings local produce into creative dishes that thrive on originality: cod with seafood condiments, grapefruit, crozets, spiced fennel. Friendly and efficient service.

Histoire Ancienne
This bistro channels an authentic vintage spirit, with its banquette seating, mirrors and Art Deco-style posters. Patrick Comte is at the helm, still cooking up his tasty take on traditional seasonal dishes: snail persillade, corn royale, jus à la bourguignonne; tender veal chop, tarragon mustard cream… Generous cooking is the name of the game!
