La Petite Cuisine, situated within the stylish La Follie Douce Hotel, boasts a charming and spacious decor. The seating is comfortable, creating an inviting atmosphere for diners. However, our dining experience left much to be desired.

The starters were unimpressive. We had to return the ceviche sea bass due to its lack of freshness, and disappointingly, we received no apology or deduction for this. The presentation of the table cutlery was unprofessional, as it was haphazardly thrown on the table with a request for us to "dispatch" it ourselves, as seen in the attached photos.

Our issues continued with the service. The wine we ordered arrived after we had finished our starters, despite multiple complaints. This was a significant letdown.

The main courses were a mixed bag. The sea bass was shockingly small, akin to a mini baby fish. On a brighter note, the pork and ribeye were delicious, showcasing the kitchen’s potential when it comes to meat dishes, while the accompanying potatoes were served cold!

Would I recommend La Petite Cuisine and am unlikely to visit again? The restaurant needs to address both its service and food quality to match the high standards implied by its beautiful setting.

Typical restaurant in Chamonix with mix of alpine and popular dishes. Food is decent with large portions that satisfy after a long day of hiking or climbing.

A great experience. Totally recommend for a special night out with friends or a large group.

Staff was super friendly and they even gave us special candles to sing happy birthday.

They have cool shows going on around the tables while you eat.

The atmosphere is very nice and fancy. The chairs are a bit uncomfortable for eating.

The menu could have a bit more variety. Nothing to complain, the 7 hours slow cooked beef check was out of this world.

Will definitely go again!

Had dinner here (also staying at the hotel) at the start of autumn right after their crazy summer period, and had a good time.

The food was excellent and there was a free flow of bread and butter (the bread was really good too).

Service was great as well (possibly because it was quiet and there must've been one wait staff per table).

In general, hotel restaurants tend to be more expensive, but not these guys. Prices were competitive (or similar) vs all the restaurants in chamonix. That being said, nothing in chamonix is particularly cheap.

Finally the live music performances that came on were entertaining to watch as well, lending to a pleasant atmosphere.

10/10 - service was impeccable, food top tier and the entertainment an added bonus. Highly recommend.

Also ate here for the breakfast buffet which was next level! So much to choose from and all high quality and delicious options. Easily worth the €22 pp
