After ordering our drinks it went downhill. We (two people) ordered the most expensive main course and also a starter. This was not accepted. The menu stated that you have to order a dish per person. Apparently a starter does not count at a dish. We understand that one dish for two people is less acceptable, but we ordered two things. We explained one person was not feeling well and did not want to eat more than a starter. They rather want us to order more food, even if we do not eat it. We do not want to waste food. But apparently here they rather have that. They said every restaurant in the world works this way and that nowhere you are able to eat only a starter. We know, as you as reader knows, that that is not true. We then didn’t want to order because wasting food is not what we wanted. Then we got the bill, but still held the table because we had drinks. So now, no one was able te eat and the restaurant makes no money. Not nice on so many levels, especially how they communicated this, very disrespectful and not needed. We were wondering now, what if just one of us was at the table, is it acceptable then to order one main dish? Probably so, but with the two of us we would have ordered more and held the same table.

Absolutely terrible experience! Extremely rude staff and worst manager.
We arrived here around 6:00pm as all of the other bars were full and ordered a bottle of champagne worth 50€. The waitress was unable to open the bottle and had to go inside to get it opened.
Upon serving us the drinks, we were asked to order dinner (at 6:00pm) and it was their policy. We asked them to show us where this was written (it wasn’t written anywhere) and why wasn’t it communicated to us before serving the drinks. Again upon saying the waitress had to call for help and invite the manager into the discussion, who was an extremely stubborn rude lady. She said its a restaurant and not a bar and we would have to leave as soon as dinner guests arrive (wth?). It’s important to note that we live in Paris and this is usually written outside/on the menu or communicated beforehand. Moving on, even before we could take our first sip the bill was handed to us and were asked to pay immediately. The worst part was the lady coming to us again within the next 5 minutes and asking us to leave even before we finished half our drinks. The restaurant was completely empty then and she said she doesn’t care we would have to leave. What kind of hospitality is this? Easily the worst experience I’ve had after travelling over 15 countries and living in France for over 3 years.

Very bad experience, very bad service, do not go here.
Four of us were sat for lunch but one didn't want to eat. They told us it's their policy that everyone must eat.
So we asked to order a starter for that person. They refused to allow that and told us all four people must order at least a main dish each.
So given that person didn't want to eat she went for a walk with our baby. We then asked now that person had gone, and there was just three of us, could we order just three meals.
They refused.
So I asked if we could get up and get a different table for three instead now one person had left.
They refused again.
So we had no choice but to cancel the drinks and leave.
The restaurant was 75% empty, so we weren't taking up a table that would otherwise have been given to someone else.
Absolutely no common sense, no business sense and no compassion to a hungry family trying to get some lunch.

We didn't believe the mediocre ratings, but they are true. My fork was not washed completely, and they still put it on the table. The food was average at best.

UPDATE: When we walked past after writing this review, the whole staff walked outside pointing and intimidating us. If you can’t handle critique, up your game, be nice and serve people and don’t act like thugs!!!!!!
Terrible “bar”. Came twice to ask if we could drink something. Twice it was “closed” to the very unfriendly lady that worked here. Even though they there were people sitting and drinking there twice. After asking when it was open then, she told us that it was only a restaurant, not only for drinking. I have seen people there just drinking with whole bottles champagne on the table.
If you want to be rejected because apparently only French people are allowed to come and drink here, feel free to go. If you want a nice place to drink, please just skip this terrible place. Drinking something at a graveyard seems like a much more enjoyable option to me.

Cook'in
This restaurant is where France (the chef) meets Thailand (front of house). The result is fusion cuisine (pan-fried scallops, lentil salad with ginger, red curry shellfish bisque) with a few “unmissables” (“tom yum talay” soup, or wok-fried Dublin Bay prawns with panang curry…). Reasonable prices.

La Grillade Gourmande
This restaurant's specialities include boned squab with foie gras in puff pastry or traditional textbook calf sweetbread, all of which are the handiwork of a friendly chef of Lyon origins. The interior is the epitome of friendly and buzzy and the garden is bliss, come summertime!
