The food was delicious ? they do close in the middle of the day like the other restaurants, although on google maps it doesn’t show that they close so we were not expecting that. They were very nice and welcoming besides that.

We came back for the 3rd time during our stay in Epernay.
Absolutely amazing food, people were willing to talk to us in English (much appreciated!).
Absolutely the best foie gras! ❤️

The service was very good and friendly but the food not so much. Ofcourse I had only one item on the menu so I couldn't judge everything but the meat was very tough and chewy. I won't be coming back, sorry.

Great atmosphere with spacious design. Nice presentation of food. Taste also good. The tiramisu is really different from those I had in HK. The texture is rich. Crème buree is also nice. But the salad is not that good as I ate sand. Hence I gave rating 3.

We went to Epernay for three days and stayed near La Marotte. Since the restaurant was nearby, they were open on Sunday and the reviews were ok, we decided to go. That visit would have been 5 stars. Nice staff who took the trouble to understand us, good recommendations on food, (foie as starter and cheese fondue were great) and an overall very nice experience. We decided to return the day after. We were seated at another table which was not in the same station of the very nice English speaking waitress who attended us before (even though she was there).This time I went for bavette which I ordered "a point" which was beyond well done. My partner had a kind of mixed grill on a hot stone which she had to grill herself. They put raw chicken over the raw beef (never a good idea) and the stone wasn't that hot so it took forever and then the stone was cold. After two attempts I asked the nice English speaking waitress if it could be grilled in the kitchen but by then our appetite was gone. Since my wife prefers sweet champagne we ordered a glass demi-sec champagne which was more dry than some of the bruts we tasted as well so we left that after one little sip. They serve great Ratafia however. Second experience was 1,5 star at best.

This restaurant is where France (the chef) meets Thailand (front of house). The result is fusion cuisine (pan-fried scallops, lentil salad with ginger, red curry shellfish bisque) with a few “unmissables” (“tom yum talay” soup, or wok-fried Dublin Bay prawns with panang curry…). Reasonable prices.

This restaurant's specialities include boned squab with foie gras in puff pastry or traditional textbook calf sweetbread, all of which are the handiwork of a friendly chef of Lyon origins. The interior is the epitome of friendly and buzzy and the garden is bliss, come summertime!
