We came here due to the high reviews and unfortunately left rather dissapointed. First, we ordered our food before three groups, and those groups had their food long before we received our entrees. We had the spiced fish and the stew of the day. The spiced fish dish was good, but the shrimp was incredibly soft, almost to a pasty texture. The rest of the dish was good, but the shrimp ruined it for us. The stew was mostly a sausage stew, which, again, was good, but the fries were incredibly soggy and mushy. The appetizer really got our hopes up because that was quite delicious, but the mains were sorely lacking. Overall, it is an ok place, but for the price to quality ratio, it wasn't worth it for us.

Gorgeous views, excellent food and outstanding service. JC took care of us and was absolutely wonderful. If you are visiting Monet, be sure to grab a bite to eat here!

Restaurant with outdoor seating located just 5 minutes walk from the Monet garden. We had the burger and stew of the day (duck stew with honey and wine). Food was tasty and service was excellent. However, the waiting time was quite long. We waited for nearly half an hour for a table, and waited for quite a while to order. I would suggest the owner to hire 2 or more staffs. Otherwise this is a great restaurant!

We had lunch after our visit to Monet's gardens and home. It was so nice to sit on the terrace. Our lunch was very good, we enjoyed it. We decided on the set menu they offer, it was tasty and sufficient for us. The views of the garden helped us relax during our lunch. We didn't have to wait for a table, we were a bit earlier. Thank you.

We came here after our tour of the gardens and were impressed with the offerings of local foods here. The apple cider was especially delightful.

La Musardière
In the heart of the quaint little town of Giverny, near Claude Monet’s house and the Impressionist Museum, this establishment serves modern, heart-warming fare in a friendly, contemporary bistro setting. Delightful sunny terrace when the weather permits and a few guestrooms for overnight stays.

Le Jardin des Plumes
A short walk from Claude Monet’s house, this half-timbered Anglo-Norman 1912 edifice extends an invitation to relax and enjoy the good things of life. The tasteful interior mixes Art deco features (worn blue and white floor tiles, peacock blue walls) with 1960’s white leather armchairs and glass and rosewood tables, while the lovely patio is flanked by a delightful, wooded garden. Normandy born chef, David Gallienne, who trained at the Manoir du Lys, continues to work with some of his former suppliers from Orne and Dieppe fishermen, whilst sourcing new ones. His inventive recipes feature unorthodox flavours and textures. The chef has opened a nearby guesthouse for overnight stays and a delicatessen in Vernon.
