Came here after a recommendation by our hotel, but the service was way too slow. I asked if he could speed up the service and the waiter said they only have 3 people in the kitchen with a rude tone. Food is also very mediocre.

Truly good food, accommodating service, and a lovely atmosphere (the lighting in the veranda is heavenly!). I ended up eating here three times during my stay in Moustiers because I liked it so much. I was staying at a hotel nearby and could smell them cooking up their lunch special and followed my nose and didn't regret it. I feel that this is one of the rare places nowadays that are true "restaurateurs", family business, quality, and passion behind what they do. Merci

Escaped from the rain into this restaurant and pleasantly surprised by the food and service. Inside was much warmer than the “glass house” seated area. Organic wine is offered as the house wine and the mains were reasonable portions. We had the foie gras entree, followed by mains of duck, prawns with risotto and the plat du jour (meal of the day), veal schnitzel. Everyone loved their meals although there was a bit too much food for those who had a small appetite. Dessert selections included crème brûlée, Irish coffee and cake. Large dessert portions and the crème brûlée was a favourite. Definitely would return if you have large appetites and are looking for high quality food.

We came here based on a tour guide’s recommendation and were not disappointed! This restaurant is slightly outside of the cluster of restaurants in Saint Marie area, but it was worth the short walk in the heat.
This was actually among our favorite meals in southern France. We got HUGE beers which were refreshing in the heat. We also ordered the niçoise salad, carpaccio, and fried snails. The food was delicious, fresh, and came out in a timely manner. Would recommend if you’re in the area!

A focus on using local, and doing prep of all ingredients, really pays off.
The duck was perfectly cooked and delicious with a unique honey almond sauce.
Salad Nicoise was just the right balance of greens, eggs, haricot vert, and tuna...with a well seasoned dressing.
The beans with onion and sesame were surprising and new to eat, something we'll replicate at home.
We chose well, on price and quality, with "house wine" options in Provence. Wonderful to have a 50cl option which is just the perfect size.
Also have to mention the Tarte Tropezianne. A wonderful end to a great meal.

La Bastide de Moustiers
A swish handsome bastide sets the scene for a Mediterranean score that stars ingredients from the market and the kitchen garden managed by two full-time staff (don’t miss the adjoining herb garden). The chef pays tribute to the Provençal and Mediterranean repertory so dear to Alain Ducasse, such as lightly seared giant red shrimp paired with courgette flower stuffed with ricotta and ‘nduja. Vegetables take the limelight and boast their own bespoke menu. The pleasant setting, including a plethora of olive trees and a plane tree-shaded terrace, adds to the attraction of this quintessential Provençal postcard.

La Ferme Sainte-Cécile
Once through the gate, follow the lovely cobbled driveway, at the end of which is this 18C farmhouse that has been turned into a go-to place for foodies! At the kitchen stove, the chef concocts delicate and subtle cuisine that draws on the South of France: royal sea bream, vegetable pistou and roasted garlic ice cream. One of the best restaurants in Moustiers.
