Amazing new restaurant in Périgueux. Run by a charming couple originally from Perigueux but have learned their skills at several Michelin started restaurants. Strongly recommend

We were in Périgueux for one day and luckily for us, chose this restaurant. It’s a warmly decorated restaurant with music playing in the background at a very low level which we appreciated. We had the lower priced prix fixe option and there was more than enough food. Suffice it to say every course was amazing. The main course was a filet of beef accompanied by a mushroom cooked tempura style. It was topped with truffles and foie gras. There were two desserts, one with strawberries followed by one with chocolates, including a ganache that was incredible. The cost was extremely reasonable as well. We spoke to the chef on our way out. He said he learned his craft in several Michelin starred restaurants. The hostess/waitress was his wife and she was very nice and described each course as served. There’s a very large wine list as well. If you’re in Périgueux, you should try this restaurant.

Superb. Perfectly cooked, fine attention to detail, wonderful flavours and complements, relaxed atmosphere and very friendly service. Fixed menus @ 52€ and 74€, we had 52€. Mushroom amuse bouche, homemade bread rolls, smoked trout with celery cream and lemon lime and coriander foam, maigret de canard aux walnuts with carrot purée, Jerusalem artichokes and a local radish, roasted fig with custard and crumb, triple walnut dessert (crème, glace and preserved). All beautifully executed and presented. A red les Landes wine we didn’t know and enjoyed very much. Best of many good dinners this trip.

The place is carefully decorated in a cozy atmosphere, the terrace is particularly pleasant. The number of guests is deliberately limited to maintain optimal quality of service. Tested for lunch, starter/main course or main course/dessert formula for €20, starter/main course/dessert for €25. The cuisine is refined and delicious, the quality/price ratio excellent. We had a great time, a very nice experience that I recommend.

AN EXCEPTIONAL TABLE

We had an unforgettable experience last night. Excellence takes on its full meaning when it comes to describing the work accomplished by this young Perigord couple whose talent we absolutely must discover, he in the kitchen and she in the dining room. On the one hand, incredible cuisine with perfectly revisited local products. On the other hand, in the dining room, a warm welcome, valuable advice and a remarkable proposal for pairing food and wine. Everything is there to spend an exceptional time in a magnificent place. To recommend.
