The food here was absolutely awful. The service not much better. My fish was not just under cooked, it was raw. There is no doubt it was not fresh fish, previously frozen. Served with some awful overcooked peppers, no sauce or potatoes. I very politely asked the waiter to just ask the kitchen to cook it a little more to make it edible, he took the plate away and I never received a replacement. We gave up in the end, could not get another drink or desserts. We then had a 20 minute argument with the proprietor to get my meal which was never completed taken off the bill. Avoid at all costs in my opinion, this is the second attempt at a meal here, there will not be a third.

We had a pleasant lunch with great food and impeccable service. The foie gras and duck confit were delicious. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, and offered us a high chair for our two year old :)

The 25€ menu is good value for money.

Will definitely visit again when in the area. ???????.

Dearest foodies, we were excited for lunch based on reviews but I regret to inform you that our recent visit to Le Saint Louie in Périgueux, France, was nothing short of a disappointment. I'm blown away with the 4 and 5-star reviews. Le Saint Louis is mediocre cuisine at best.

Let's talk about the food, or should I say lack thereof. The dishes that graced our table were a disgrace to the culinary world. Tasteless, overcooked, and completely uninspiring, these so-called creations left our taste buds in a state of despair. Foie Gras was dry, canard was overcooked, and potatoes were bland. The lasagna seemed to be cut from a larger piece and reheated. It included heavy, bland bolognese sauce and extreme bechamel, minimum pasta sheets. The salad seemed old, partially limp and flavourless.

I've traveled extensively to other countries and reviewed many restaurants but this one was hard for me. Seemed my money could have been better spent.

I do not recommend. And I expect the restaurant to respond with a harsh comment.

We lucked out and stumbled upon this place on a Wednesday evening. Many other places were closed (8pm) but we saw the awning and went for it. What a treat! A great French Restaurant with excellent ingredients at a reasonable price.
