Thank you, Orca and wonderful staff, for an amazing 5-star experience today!
From the moment we arrived, you all went above and beyond.
The cuisine was exquisite and great views, even on a rainy, foggy afternoon.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time.

In July we returned on 2 occasions to this beautiful place - for a celebratory luncheon with our friends (we were 3 couples), and for a 2-day stay for my wife and my anniversary. The location is absolutely stunning, the views amazing and the food & wine delicious and innovative. We had a beautiful luncheon with our friends and as usual enjoyed the ceremony of the champagne cart and the cheese cart. We knew we were in for a treat and that it comes at a price. But, when checking the 1.500€ invoice we were unpleasantly surprised to learn that 1 glas of the rose natural champagne was priced at 55€, whereas the lovely Piper Heidsieck champagne was priced at 25€. We experienced a similar situation at our anniversary lunch, where the sommelier presented 2 different rose wines - we chose a glass of each to compare, and learned when receiving the invoice that 1 glass was priced at 14€ and the other at 38€.
We are very experienced restaurant goers all over Europe, but have never experienced such a difference in pricing without being notified by the sommelier, and I have to say that it really bothered me! I don’t mind paying for the great experience of the meal and wines, but I felt cheated/misled on these 2 occasions.

This review is only for the restaurant, as we did not stay at the hotel. The restaurant was a compete disappointment.
We are on our second week of dining at numerous one star Michelin and five star hotel restaurant's in France including among others the Maison Pic, Le Saint Esteve, Bastide Moustiers (Alain Ducasse), Ch. de la Gaude and even our local hotel Chateau Saint Martin. All of these were outstanding culinary delights and here are the reason we were so disappointed with this restaurant.
1. They seated all guests in the patio area where the 'view' was somewhat obscure due to the plastic window that are not possible to be cleaned like glass. Certainly, warmer weather would have provided a clear view, but that was not the reason to go to this restaurant. We were expecting a good dining experience. To begin, there are no white tablecloths and the entire dinner is served on stone tile without even a place mat! Not a very sanitary feeling for a Michelin star restaurant. The adjacent interior room (without the big view) all had white tablecloths, but they seated no one there.
2. We had read there was a 3 course dining option at 99 euros per person and were interested in doing that, but the menus on the table were for 5 and 7 courses at considerably higher price points and way too much food for us. When we asked about the 3 course, the staff said he would have to check with the manager. Really?
3. The 'Amuse Bouche' came in a rather bizarre wooden garden basket (see photo) and all except one were nothing special.
3. Of the limited selections on the 'menu' we hedged our bets and took one each of most items. My starter of raw swordfish was nothing special, just small chunks of the fish. My main fish course was totally unrecognizable and just not tasty. Could not finish it. My wife, fortunately, had the one recognizable and good item: lamb and veggies.
3. They 'stretched' out the 3 course dining experience to a very long and tedious 2 hours and 45 minutes by bringing every 10-15 minutes some small tid-bits that were useless to the dining experience.
4. We each had one glass of wine and the bill was 264 euros.
Never again. Lot of better options in the area, like L' Ambroisy in downtown Vence at half the price.

A wonderful retreat, for work & rest. Stayed 3 days in a Junior Suite with a balcony overlooking the Riviera. Extremely comfortable, very spacious, all the amenities & very professional attentive service (grazie Silvia & Benoit). Michelin Chef Alain Llorca, assisted by his brother Pastry Chef Jean-Michel, runs an amazing hide-away & spoils the guests with exceptional cuisine, including the breakfast. Highlights include his famous sea bass & especially the absolutely stunning roasted pigeon with foie gras, a must-try. Great discovery wines by the glass. Thank you Jeremy, Bruno & teams!
I will soon be back for more, merci Chef!

La Table de Pierre
Le Mas de Pierre has morphed into a sublime, intimate and luxurious resort... and La Table has followed suit. The pair of chefs cooks up modern and locavore Mediterranean cuisine, with subtle international influences. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, there is an overarching harmony to it all: very nicely done.
