It’s not often and I come across a restaurant where everything is delicious. They can easily get their first Michelin star. I’ve done many 1-2-3 Michelin stars, this goes in my top 3.

Fabulous creative food, nice atmosphere. This place is well worth visiting. We were able to get a table even without a reservation. I especially liked the cheeses and selection of half bottle wines. Plus the lady at the front desk spoke English which is not common in France. It's an experience to remember!

Very satisfied with our experience here. Professional and well trained service. They also provide english menu for non-french speaking guest. We had menu degustation which was excellent.

Today we experienced a fabulous restaurant in the centre of Vichy. The quality of the foods was first class and the creativity was incredible. The service was highly professional. This restaurant deserves a Michelin star.

We have booked a table in advance and when we arrived for dinner, we were told that the table was canceled. We just was asking if they can make lactose free dishes for 1 of us (and it was just a question) but they made it as action to cancel the table. We are very much disappointed ☹️

Les Caudalies
Les Caudalies in Vichy has it all: a stylishly elegant dining room strewn with contemporary details, an appealing wine list with over 900 labels selected by Lucie, chef Emmanuel Basset’s wife, and a culinary line-up of tasty and generous dishes that tread a fine line between tradition and modernity. NB: check out the “cadole” dining area, between the wine cellar and the kitchen, which sports a vintner's lodge vibe.

Maison Decoret
Jacques Decoret chose to set up his restaurant in a 19C building with a large, boxy extension with a glass-paned front. Now assisted by his two sons, the chef is a master of his craft. He proposes refined and aesthetically pleasing dishes that draw on exquisite produce, while steering clear of any ostentation, for instance Arctic char from Charles Murgat Fish Farm, nasturtium emulsion, romaine lettuce. The amuse-bouches also have bags of personality. If you wish to extend your stay, there are a few maison d'hôte-style rooms designed along the same contemporary lines as the rest of the property.

L'Hippocampe
In his restaurant near the Parc des Sources, chef Gilles Ruyet prepares seafood dishes in a traditional vein: sole meunière, seared halibut with a beurre blanc sauce, not forgetting the crystallised orange soufflé with Grand Marnier – prepared by his daughter Marianne, who is also to be seen on the restaurant floor. Attractive contemporary decor, plus a view of the kitchen and the lobster tank.
