Kids friendly experience

familiew438, Dec 2024

Very well established park. Everywhere detailed Information in 4 languages. Tips for parking: enough options in the late afternoon. All in one great opportunity to get to know so many different types of turtles. Only one drawback - very small aquarium for the nosed Papua turtles! Dear owners, please invest into the respective for this size and amount of animals Aquarium.

Something different

In land, away from the coast lies this little tortoise sanctuary, home to 100s of different species of tortoises. Much of the sanctuary is in the open with very little shade, but there’s a lovely, shaded cafe located at the entrance/exit, which sells a variety of food and drinks. There’s also a small souvenir shop onsite.

Turtle & Tortoise Sanctuary 🐢

I was in awe of this turtle and tortoise sanctuary. I spent over three hours there and am so glad I had the pleasure of visiting. I contacted the manager of the facility prior to visiting and was instructed that that the best form of transportation was taxi. I hired a private driver and it was about a 30 minute drive to the park just outside Ajaccio. The staff at the sanctuary were friendly and accommodating. There’s a cafe where you can purchase hot food and a lovely gift shop. I highly recommend visiting. 🐢

Don't buy these tickets unless you check out the transportation situation

Dale_G, Dec 2024

I would like to warn others not to buy these tickets. We tried for over 2 hours to get a taxi or Uber to take us to the location but were unable to get there. We could have taken a train and walked 20 minutes but there was no train coming back before our cruise ship all-aboard time. We really wanted to visit the Turtle Park but getting there is a huge problem.

Hello

I understand your comments but you put a very bad note to the park without seeing it! We are not responsible of the lack of public transport! Hope you will visit us one day

Interesting visit with several species of turtles.

Harry_L, Dec 2024

Took my grandkids to this exhibit and they loved it. Quite fascinating learning about the different species. The only challenge is it’s quite a distance about 30 miles from Adjaccio proper. Hired a private car to take us there.
