Least compassionate tour company in the land
jnw6pk5qrq, Dec 2024
Unfortunately, I was not able to take the tour nor get a refund (yet). We booked and available tour of the day before we were to take it. The night before the tour, Laurence Had texted me on WhatsApp, basically saying that three people booked at the same time and could I go four days later. I told her I could not as we would be gone already. Seem to me like she was canceling.
Lo and Behold, my phone was stolen, so when she responded to me at 8 AM the next morning, I could not see her communication. But I was still being picked up for the trip. Obviously, losing your phone is a nightmare. Anyone would know that, but I was given no grace. Just a rude account on how they waited 15 minutes for us. In customer service, a bit of understanding/compromise goes a long way, but this was unfortunately not the case. I ran around all day trying to resolve the phone issue to no avail, so, I had to shut down my son’s phone and put my information on it. All of my travel info was on my iCloud and it took forever to restore on shaky Airbnb WiFi. I contacted Laurence to apologize the moment my cloud uploaded, and she was in no way sympathetic. Just nasty on top of everything I had already been through, blocking my ability for a full or even partial refund. I will pursue this further, just be careful and hopefully you may have better luck in Nice!

Madam,
I remind you if you have ever forgotten, that you did not show up for the pick-up after waiting for you for 30 minutes! Yes, 30 minutes!!
You booked a guided tour for August 16 the day before.
I sent you on the evening of August 15 your pickup schedule at 9:00 am, by Email and by Whattsapp, you replied "ok thank you, see you tomorrow".
At no time did I mention cancellation during our exchanges...I still have the exchanges on my whatsapp! So show me where I told you about the cancellation! it's all invention and lies!
On August 16 at 8:30 I started my pickups of the 6 other participants, Arrival at 9:00 am at your address, at "4 rue du Congrès Nice", you were the last customers to be picked up, I sent you a message because you were not present in front of your building, we waited with the other customers in the van (30 minutes). 10 phone calls (yes 10 calls!) your phone rings every time but you never answer! It ends after a while on voicemail and I left you a message: (I'm down there waiting for you with the other customers in the van!).
I rang your apartment countless times, you didn't even have the decency to pick up the phone or come down to tell us that you couldn't or didn't want to participate in the tour! you have with your narcissistic, disrespectful behavior delayed 6 other people and made them lose 30 precious minutes of their tour in addition to the irritation and stress caused to these poor customers, (for some it's been almost an hour in the van and we haven't even started the tour yet!) the only fault of these unlucky customers was to cross your path that day, on this tour!
at 9:40 am under the pressure and dismay of the other customers we left! The customers were shocked by your irresponsibility and contempt, at the very least you should have warned or simply answered the calls of the guide, that you were not coming or you simply missed your alarm that morning!
if you had answered my calls or come out to tell me I can't participate for any reason, believe me Madam I would do everything to find a solution! on the contrary you invented this story of having lost your phone.
To my knowledge losing your phone does not prevent you from going down and warning these 6 other customers who have been waiting for you for 30 minutes! it is the phone that you lost and not your legs!
A message that morning would have been enough to warn me not to wait for you! It is normal on vacation to party, not to wake up, to change your mind but you cannot let a guide with 6 customers wait 30 minutes without reacting, it is disrespectful, scandalous, and to see your comment, calls into question my work, my integrity, my professionalism ... Know Madam that I treat each customer with respect, I give all my energy, my passion that they have an unforgettable day!
The reviews are for customers who have done the tour! except you did not show up!
You are part of a fortunately small percentage of clients who think they have all the rights, disrespectful towards the guides who work and give you the best of themselves to satisfy you, sincerely Madam I hope that you will become aware of your actions because they necessarily have consequences!

Laurence was such a sweet heart who made our small group feel welcome and comfortable. She was very informational and the small size of this group really made the tour enjoyable and friendly. I met some amazing people on this tour and thanks to a wonderful tour guide who warm to us.

A great experience all around! Our guide was communicative about changes prior to the tour, and prompt to the pick up spot. She (Laurence) had lots of great information about the history of the areas we visited, and was very friendly and kind. Would definitely tour with this company and especially this guide again.
