The richly furnished Château de Chenonceau presents an exceptional collection of great masters, a selection of precious tapestries. Its elegant gardens end the visit of the "Château des Dames" nicknamed in tribute to those who defended, developed and enriched: Katherine Briçonnet, Diane de Poitiers and Catherine de Medici. Other attractions are possible: boat rental, visits to the kitchen garden, the 16th century farm. On-site catering.

Stop atChateau de Chambord
The area of Chambord extends on the equivalent of the surface of Paris intramural and is delimited by 32 kilometers of walls of enclosure. The Château de Chambord is an architectural masterpiece in every major point: 426 rooms, 77 staircases, 282 fireplaces, 800 carved capitals, a double revolution staircase. Other attractions are possible: vegetable garden tours, stables, bike rentals, boats, electric carts, wine tasting at home. On-site catering.

Day trip to Castles

Beatrice was our tour guide and she was fantastic!! She was fun, accommodating and went above and beyond. We all enjoyed our day so much!! Would highly recommend.

My sister, cousin, and myself were met at the train station in Blois by Beatrice and Laurence. We then drove to Chateau Chenonceau stopping along the way to take some wonderful pictures and to see the house where Leonardo de Vinci had stayed at one time. Our guides were so accommodating and interesting. They explained so much to us. We wanted to stop for a bite to eat on out way to Chateau Chambord. Again our guides took us to a wonderful sandwich shop that had the most incredible looking desserts. Our trip was a fast one but we didn't feel rushed. They dropped us off at the train station in Blois in plenty of time for us to enjoy our trip back to Paris.
I highly recommend Destination Libre with Beatrice and Laurence.

Quel bonheur de visiter ces magnifiques châteaux dans de si bonnes conditions ! un chauffeur sympathique au petit soin et qui connaît parfaitement sa région et les bonnes adresses où aller. Cerise sur le gâteau, il ne manque pas d'humour. je conseil fortement destination libre pour cette région.

Chambord châteaux merveilleux ;visité en 2015 mais je reviens en 2020 avec une excursion , idem pour Chenonceau ; blois ; cheverny azay le rideau
