Stop atVilla & Jardins Ephrussi de Rothschild
By birth and then by marriage, Madame Beatrice Ephrussi, daughter of the famous banker Baron Alphonse de Rotschild, was to become one of the greatest collectors of her century. For the construction of the Villa between 1907 and 1912, she added the talents of all the experts and merchants, friends of the family ...Béatrice's father died in 1905 and the Baroness inherited his immense fortune. That same year, she decided to construct her dream home in Cap Ferrat. When she first discovered this plot of land, she was immediately seduced by the beauty of the surroundings. She made the Villa her winter residence and came here regularly for a period of ten or so years, till she retired in Switzerland because of tuberculosis where she passed away. Later The Académie des Beaux-Arts entrusted the management of the site to Culture spaces, which redeveloped the splendid gardens, respecting the original plan designed by Louis Marchand and restoring the Villa’s interior.

Good private driver for Nice City Tour & Villa Rothschild

We had a good driver who provided information along the way of the Nice City Tour and Villa Rothschild. Our driver was good about stopping to take photos of us on the drive to Villa Rothschild. I would like to comment that this is NOT a private tour of each place. We were dropped off in the old town of Nice to explore on our own for about one hour. We also explored the Villa Rothschild estate on our own. If you are looking for a private tour guide of each place this is NOT your tour. Basically, you pay for a private driver to each location.

So for sure I'm happy to read you enjoyed a drive with our driver and our delusory van.
We consider a "private tour" because of the private pick up, drive, drop off, waiting or stopping whenever and wherever you want.
For sure you understand you can not have a private tour at old town or Villa Rostchild as we can not "close" these places just for you, even if you had a guide going with you you would be in middle of other people.
As parking place is a big problem the guide-driver can not go with customers, and adding a service of a private guide plus driver and car would become so expensive.. so the tour we propose is the more logical proposition we have found to make everybody happy.
One more thing, at Rostchild villa there is no guide, only "headphone" in multiple language which allow you to go ahead in the visit at your convenience... I mean do you like more inside or outside of the villa and their beautiful gardens... ?
