Almost everything is perfect.

Almost everything was perfect. The guide was very attentive to the customers. However, the 50 minutes of free time in Valensole village was little boring. The lavender farm was nice, but Valensole village was not so good. Thanks to Mr. Silvio.
Beautiful sunset @lavender fields

Nicholas brought tour participants to a series of really great lavender fields - dense rows of lush lavender flowers (compared to another tour, which also stopped at some lavender fields, those in the other tour were not as lush and it showed in the pictures), fields were not too crowded for good pictures, Nicholas also saved the best for the last - sunset on the hill with the beautiful lavenders - this tour really shows off the best of France’s lavender!
Worth the trip!

Lovely photo sites. The van was dirty and the AC did not work. The stop at the farm was nice. I would have liked to see more villages in the region.
Wonderful Sunset Experience

My friend and I were very excited to join this Lavender Field tour during our time in Aix-en-Provence. Our guide Silvio was easy to locate at the meeting point and handled our time on the tour well. He was knowledgeable about the region and knew which fields would be most beautiful as we were visiting at the start of the harvest in mid-July. Sunset was the perfect time to visit as we watched the colors of the lavender shift with the setting sun at each field we passed. We really enjoyed our stop at a family owned lavender, almond, and olive farm as we were able to learn about the growing process and sample the locally produced goods. At the start of our journey, we stopped at a cafe to buy dinner as Silvio knew the cafes in the town of Valensole may be closed by the time we arrived later. If we went again, we would have brought our own food, but appreciated the convenience and thought of the stop. The only other thing left to be desired was more information about the region as we went along, but Silvio answered all of our questions expertly. This tour was well worth the price for the convenience and experience.
Unbelievably beautiful lavender fields and well worth the money.

My wife was really interested in visiting the Provence area during lavender season, me not so much. That all changed during the tour. I simply couldn't get enough of the unbelievably beauty lavender fields that we were taken to. Simply stunning and photos in general simply do not do them justice.
Our guide, Nicholas from Bonjour Provence Tours in Aix-en-Provence was outstanding. Nicholas was friendly, helpful and always available to take those priceless photos. Nicholas also knew where to take us to lavender fields that were a little off the beaten trail and away from the hordes of other tourist. To top it off, Nicholas definitely went above and beyond to let us experience as many lavender fields as we could prior to the sunsetting.
The only drawback to this tour was the van was a bit old and the air conditioning was not great.
A bigger drawback was our visit to the town of Valensole. When we arrived in Valensole, there were virtually no options to grab something to eat and only one place was open to have a glass of wine. The town definitely is missing out on the tourist money as it was readily apparent they could careless if we were there or not. My recommendation to people taking the tour is bring your own food and for Bonjour Provence Tours to reduce the amount of time spent in Valensole from 45 minutes to say 15-20 minutes.
Overall this was a great tour. The star of the show was the lavender fields. They lived up to their hype and more.
Thanks for a great tour Nicholas and Bonjour Provence.
