We had a wonderful lunch here today! The roesti was exceptional and the side dishes were delicious. The owner couldn't have been more charming and helpful - it was a much more authentic experience to eat here than in the more touristy places in town. It was our last meal in France and I'm just glad that we found Le Mistigris. The portions are generous but we still managed dessert, plus wine. Don't be put off by the dubious shop next door - once you sit down and look at the menu, you won't be thinking about anything other than the wonderful food in front of you!! Merci mille fois!!

While passing through Besançon I stopped one evening for dinner. Delighted with this restaurant, I ate really well. Very good value for money. Very pleasant waitress.

Mistigri is a real culinary gem! The welcome is warm, the service impeccable, and each dish is a delight for the taste buds. The creativity and finesse of the flavors enchanted me. An essential address for lovers of good cuisine!

Small restaurant nestled at the bottom of rue du Chasnot; the basis here is the roestis, cooked “masterfully” (mistress) by Aude, whose welcome is matched only by kindness.
Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, it will serve you local products in a small room with charming decor (filigree cats); Generous quantities assured. Everything is really delicious, an address to remember.

We don't come to Mistigri to find dishes under cover but to relive or discover the nostalgic side typical of F.Comté: simple dishes, very good simple products such as Morteau sausage or ham, an excellent mushroom crust, roestis served and prepared by a friendly and warm cook (and waitress) who above all is here to maintain the conviviality and it is a success.
In addition I would have appreciated a regional wine: Champlitte, Charcenne or Moutherot for example.
Bravo to you Aude for your generosity and for this moment spent by our side to tell us the history of this discreet, very warm place (40 years old) and the solidarity of the first occupants.

At the foot of the Vauban Citadel, this smart hotel occupies the former convent of the Poor Clares. The restaurant provides a cosy setting, with old parquet floors and tablecloths, and – a major asset – its terrace overlooking the park! Chef Hugo Mathieu (trained in Lyon's top restaurants) is no novice, judging by his polished dishes: glazed pea velouté, cod loin fillet cooked at 50C, crispy pistachio tartlet.

In a narrow street near the Doubs, this couple, who earned their stripes in prestigious establishments, work in tandem in the open kitchen, occasionally venturing out to serve diners. Their single set menu, based on carefully selected seasonal produce and enhanced by wild-picked ingredients, is akin to a natural history lesson: carrot / marjoram / plantain / burnet / bay leaf; black pork / pumpkin / poultry jus / spring onion oil; beetroot / raspberry / coriander / iced nougat.
