Excellent food and excellent service. Well done Matt who served us (I hope I have his name right). Highly recommend.

Disappointing Experience
My recent visit to Le Carrousel in Chamonix was, unfortunately, far from enjoyable. Upon arrival, I was offered three table options and agreed with a fellow diner to sit at one, mentioning that I might reconsider once my friends arrived. However, when I politely asked the waiter to change tables before we even started our meal, I was met with an abrupt "NO, you are taking this table," which set a negative tone for the evening.
We had booked a table for 21:30 over the phone, and were assured it was fine. But upon arrival, we were informed that it was too late and that they would need to serve our starters and main course simultaneously, which felt rushed and unaccommodating.
As someone with a gluten intolerance, I ordered a burger without bread. The restaurant offered gluten-free bread, which I appreciated. However, when the burger arrived, it came with regular bread, despite my explicit request. I reminded them of my gluten issue, and they brought me two small pieces of gluten-free bread, which were unfortunately still frozen.
Overall, the experience was disappointing, with poor service and a lack of attention to dietary needs. I expected much more from a restaurant in such a renowned location.

Pretty chill atmosphere. Been here for an hour after ordering my food. As you can see, the chef is still hunting for the food.

Nassim, the waiter knows how to please his clients. Indeed a professional, welcoming and reassures all the time if clients are okay and enjoying their meals.
Must never miss this restaurant.

This restaurant is a classic tourist trap. We visited the restaurant because of its extremely beautiful terrace, in our opinion, one of the most beautiful in Chamonix Centre. However, the food was absolutely below average. We had the pierrade with beef; the meat was already very oxidized and had turned brown. While this doesn't necessarily indicate poor quality, for €70 for two people, one should expect something fresher. The meat was also not particularly tender, and the stone was not hot. There were no vegetable sides except for five tiny strips of the cheapest, tasteless bell pepper. The only good thing was the homemade Béarnaise sauce, but it cost an additional €4. The cheese fondue we also ordered was the worst we've ever had—the cheese was not melted at all, and everything was clumped together. When we complained to the waiter, he did take the fondue back to reheat it, but when it came back, the exact same problem remained. The bread was inedible; it was several days old. While it's true that fondue isn't made with fresh bread, you should still be able to pick up the bread without it falling apart, otherwise the whole thing doesn't make sense. We told the waiter that we were extremely disappointed, and he responded very unprofessionally, practically throwing the bill on the table. An unacceptable restaurant with expensive prices. We visited this restaurant specifically because of the beautiful terrace, thinking that the quality would be assured given the higher prices. It was really terrible. Definitely to be avoided. A disgrace to French cuisine, simply embarrassing.
