What can I say, other than fantastic. Best lunch I have had in years. Food was outstanding and service excellent. Starter of 3 fish pots was delicious ?

Haven't been to Chez Max for a few years, so happy to find that it is as good as ever. Food is excellent, the service is jovial and friendly, if you are staying in/near Epernay you should really visit.

Food was too delicious to take more pictures!
We came here as part of a tour, and the starter and main were incredible- too full for desert, we just grabbed a coffee!
Very impressed with the service and the gentleman who owned the restaurant was engaging and pleasant! Definitely worth a visit.

This restaurant was just WOW. It’s located a little outside of Epernay but still at walking distance. We had the oysters, foie, steak tartare and chateaubriand and all were perfect. Max is super nice and just breathes gastronomy and service.

Very sweet little local restaurant with authentic French food. Lots of locals in there too, so definitely book. We popped in for a late night bottle of champagne and the man was very accommodating and welcoming. We returned for lunch the next day. The steak tartare is really special and prepared at the table.
