Great stop for dinner after champagne tasting. Out server was quick and delightful. Food was good! We each order champagne by the glass and enjoyed it very much! They even changed the TV channel inside so we could watch the Olympics :)

It was busy afternoon and we had feeling that because we were English that server didn't come to us for about 10 mins to give menu and ask for drink order. Overall still nice lunch.

Visited as group of nine, arrived in Epernay quite late and needed dinner. We'll placed in the centre and has both inside and outside seating. They had a table avaliable and seated us fast. Good selection of drinks and limited but typical selection on menu including a couple of kids dishes. Food came out in good time and was all as expected. Recommend for a quick dinner and some drinks,

CHECK YOUR BILL CLOSELY BEFORE YOU PAY

The waiters hand written tally is recorded on a paper slip and left on our table. The writing was totally unreadable. At the end of our meal we were asked to go to the bar to pay. An employee behind the bar took the hand scribbled note and entered our items via a computer touch screen. The credit card terminal spit out a non-itemized receipt for 62 euros. An itemized total was never provided as to how they arrived at a total of 62 euros. We had the following menu items;

1-25cl red wine 8 euro

1 - 14cl champagne 8.5 euro

1 - cheese burger 15.7 euro

1- penne carbonera 15.5 euro

1- 1 litre Peeligrino 6.5 euro

The total of these items is 54.2 euro. They over charged us by 8 euro. Their process of not showing itemized total or legible itemization of the items ordered is consistent with typical rip-offs at tourist traps.

Check the cost of your items against the menu before you pay. Unfortunately we didn’t figure this out until we left.

Whew... Maybe this is the type of place where you only drink, and not eat. The service wasn't too friendly, and just an hour later we both have a really bad stomach.... ?
