We had a really beautiful food experience here. The local cheese selection was very nice also. The staff was very friendly also. I loved the deconstructed tarte au citron

My recent experience eas unfortunately disappointing. While the food was acceptable, the service left much to be desired.
Upon arrival, the reception was lukewarm at best. It felt as though the staff were disinterested in providing a welcoming atmosphere. Throughout the meal, our waiter seemed indifferent and offered minimal assistance when we had questions about the menu.
The food itself was average. While it was edible, none of the dishes stood out in terms of flavor or presentation. For the price we paid, we expected more in terms of quality and creativity.
I would recommend exploring other dining options in the area that prioritize both food quality and customer service.

The highlight of our trip to Rouen.
From the wine that was recommended to the starters and the mains, everything hit the spot.
Alain our waiter (and possibly owner?) was attentive and in high spirits, teasing my partner in good humour when she finally gave up with the French menu and had to switch to the English version.
Not only was fine dining on offer Alain also offered recommendations on places to visit during our trip in Normandy

Had multiple courses with my family. None of us liked any of the food. Taste ok but not worth the price in my opinion. Also poor presentation for my understanding, wouldn't recommend.

Very good food and the service was spot on too. The tartare was amazing, as was the foie, my son enjoyed the beef that was cooked spot on. Would not have the cheese platter again as there was just not enough variety.

Between the River Seine and the cathedral, this restaurant has a black and red interior with a geometrical design. The son of a market gardener with a passion for vegetables, the chef infuses his cuisine with contemporary flavours and aromas. He gives free rein to his imagination and creativity in his carte blanche menu: scallops, fennel and blackcurrants; Black Angus beef, mushrooms, celery and vin jaune.

L'epicurius
In a charming pedestrian street in the old part of Rouen, this trendy bistro serves fine and tasty cuisine, such as bluefin tuna with pea mousseline, cockles and haddock emulsion, or red berry vacherin with a herb sorbet… Carefully selected ingredients, to be enjoyed in a contemporary interior. Charming welcome.

L'Odas
Ideally located in the heart of the historic city, two minutes from the cathedral, this restaurant is the brainchild of Olivier Da Silva. He regales diners with a seasonal, often bold score to which he adds the occasional citrus note for extra zest and vivacity. Plants, veg and fish are showcased in a mystery menu. Take a seat in the dining room where you can admire the team at work in the open-plan kitchen or on the pleasantly secluded patio.

Paul-Arthur
This former Top Chef contestant, who hails from the South of France, has set up shop in this half-timbered house on Place de la Pucelle. In this contemporary bistro, which still boasts its period beams, the chef cooks up a pressé of veal shank and foie gras with pistachio pistou; hake confit in semi-salted butter, sweet potato and smoked hollandaise; banoffee pie, dulce de leche and caramelised pecans. The style is the right degree of modern, the ingredients are seasonal, and the dinner menu is more ambitious than that at lunchtime.
