Great Way to Explore Avignon
savasmom, Dec 2024
This self-guided walking tour was a great way to explore the charming city of Avignon. My son and I walked down streets we likely never would have encountered on our own. Even in the extreme heat of August, we managed to enjoy ourselves. I found the website a little glitchy. Every time I used a different function on my phone (camera, etc) the website disappeared. I panicked at first, thinking we lost all progress. Once I logged back in, it was fine. Unfortunately, I had to log back in 4 times over the course of the tour. This could have been a problem with my phone, but I note it because it was the sole detractor from this activity. We enjoyed it and would do another of the City Scavenger hunts again in the future in a new place.

Thanks for the review Savas. It is verry nice to know that you explored Avignon in a great way.
Big recommend to get the know the city in a fun way!

It was a very nice interactive game to get to know the city and see all the city highlights. We enjoyed it very much and we became all very compatitive to get the best score. The only downside was the very hot weather, which wasn’t the perfect timing. But the game itself is a big recommend!
Very complicated
Marc-Olivier R, Dec 2024
Terrible experience. Game is too complicated to setup, translations in the forms make no sense, and it does not work well with iPhones (bad GPS). It would be so easy to put the game in a simple app… Asked for a refund 15 minutes after buying, without even starting the game, but it was refused by Viator. I feel scammed and will delete Tripadvisor app from my phone. Avoid. Unless you speak Dutch and have a lot of patience.

August 12, 634 people played this game. Only you found it is too complicated. A Helpdesk employee was available, you could have asked them for help.
You requested a refund within only 15 (!) minutes after your purchase. So you have hardly tried to make it work.
Must do for all walking cities

Really enjoyed this game. Had a day wondering around without a guide and felt like I was missing something. Signed up for the game the next day and my day was filled with fun. Good exercise and loads of new knowledge. Couldn't complete it in a day cause it was so hot in Avignon but I now know new places to visit on my remaining days here.

Avignon is indeed such a nice city for a scavenger hunt! Hot spots & secret places, we love it too!
Moderately entertaining and educational.

The instructions were difficult to find and understand.
Once we did get logged on and started it was a good day.
It was a little bit frustrating to some of us who do not have French because some of the clues required that we knew some French.
