Sobering experience but museum dealt well with a sensitive subject

X7039TVstuartb, Dec 2024

Visiting this camp was a very sobering experience but I felt that the museum was very well set out and dealt with a very sensitive subject very well. Many of the captions were in English and the audio guide was very good. Car park was good and there were good toilets and some vending machines if you wanted a coffee.

Struthof Camp

Voyage529044, Dec 2024

This surpassed our expectations. Mickaël our guide picked us up at our B and B. He was informed, sensitive and patient, giving us all the time we needed to read and absorb everything. He also provided a welcomed lunch. This is a must tour for all. We would like to take another tour with Mickaël.

A different tour day

JoyeGao, Dec 2024

Visit to struthof camp is very different than most other tours. It was real, dark, history, striking, also kind of hidden place, few tourists, you feel a lot there.

Mickael is very nice, he set up a picnic lunch at in the forest in the middle of Mont Sainte-Odile, feel like locals. Hiking in forest is nice too, picking mushrooms, see the wall, everything is very special, definitely recommend go with this tour.

Camp Neitzweiler-Struthof

Sightseer55692262787, Dec 2024

The horror of history before our eyes. The Neitzweiler- Struthof camp is really well preserved. The Guide takes you through this dark period in our history. Prison, experimental table and cremation oven leave you speechless. To visit without a doubt if you are in the area

A visit that grabs you by the throat!

Each concentration camp shows the inhumanity with which the prisoners were treated. You are always gripped by the horror with which people could harm other people. It is important that this is shown and that history continues to be told, even though it stops, unfortunately, the cruelty, everywhere in the world
