Stop atMont-Saint-Michel
We will first drive 1h30 to Mont-Saint-Michel. Mont Saint Michel is the most visited site in Normandy and one of the most visited sites in France. The first construction on the rock was built in 708. A few decades later, it became a major pilgrimage site for all Christians in the world. Thanks to the work of the religious community on the Mont, the site was seen as an intellectual reference in Europe where thousands of books, manuscripts and charters were written. In the 19th century, the importance of Mont Saint Michel was in decline and it became a prison after the French Revolution in 1789. From 1793 until 1863, the site had the worst reputation and was nicknamed the Bastille of the seas… The building suffered from the lack of maintenance during that time and almost disappeared after the French stopped using it as a prison. Fortunately, it was saved from destruction and many architects renovated it from then until present day. After the visit, we will drive back to Bayeux 1h30 .

Outstanding Guided Day Trips!

Pierre and Yannick were outstanding guides for my group’s Mont St Michel day trip and also a half day D-Day tour in Normandy. Both were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about being our guides. They spoke outstanding English and are super friendly. Highly recommend!!!!!
Amazing Day at Mont St-Michel with a Wonderful Tour Guide

Yannick was the best tour guide and gave the best experience at Mont St-Michel that we could have hoped for! He was so knowledgeable, but what set him apart from other tour guides we had on our trip on other days was his enthusiasm and genuine passion for the history and sites, along with his super friendly and approachable personality. Even though I had some hiccups at the end of my day (loss of cellular service and my inability to locate my fellow groupmates at meet-up time), Yannick was so kind and understanding and ensured we were located so that we could all get back into town without any further issues. I hope to be able to go back to visit Mont St-Michel with the rest of my family next time, and when I do, I hope I can have Yannick as our guide again. Thank you!
Mont Saint Michel Day Trip with HQ Company Tour

My friend and I booked the All-Day tour to Mont Saint Michel Day from Bayeux. Our guide, Yannick, was fantastic! We were met at central location in Bayeux and were transported in a very comfortable (new model) van. Yannick (an excellent English speaker!) was very knowledgeable about not only Mont Saint Michel, but all the significant regional monuments and the Normandy region as a whole.
We were so fortunate to have Yannick and HQ Company as our tour company! I would highly recommend their services!
Don’t Book with this Company, not Reliable

Don’t book with this company. They canceled my reservation after 10 pm the night before, while I was sleeping. Happened to check my email during breakfast right before leaving.HQ suggested that I try another company that meets at the same spot. So I rushed down to the meeting spot, hoping to find the other company. I did, but their van was totally full. If this company had given me the same courtesy it requires of me, 24 hour notice, I may have been able to arrange or plan for another way to get to Mont St Michel, a shuttle instead of a tour. I was mostly free the day before. But this was my last day in Bayeax and there was nothing I could do with such short notice. Just disrespectful to travelers. It is a once in a lifetime vacation for many of us. I doubt I’ll be back here again.

We did not mean to be disrespectful. All our apologies for that. We felt so embarassed, we tried to find an other tour for you but we are sorry to read that they were fully booked.
