The best day in Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé!

What an amazing day out in Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé! Not only is Nick incredibly knowledgeable about the wine varieties and the history of the region, he was a lot of fun too! From the moment we exchanged emails regarding which trains to take from Paris I knew it was going to be a great day. Nick got everything in that we wanted to taste and see, and more. What an incredible day. I’ve already recommended Nick to a number of friends traveling to the area and can’t wait for the day I can make it back to France to tour a new region with him. Merci beaucoup for one of my favorites days of our trip.

We didn't know what to expect given most people prefer to visit Champagne or Burgundy over Sancerre, but we love Sancerre and found Nick through TripAdvisor. He was incredible! He catered our tour to let us taste as much variety as possible from smaller to larger production vineyards and knows the region very well. We were able to easily purchase wine and have it shipped through him as well. Nick also is so fun and friendly and well educated - he was also able to translate for us and allow us to have conversations with the winemakers themselves. Would definitely do again if we can come back!

Nick is very knowledgeable -- not just about wine, but also of history and culture -- and a lot of fun to be with. We had sent him a list of wineries we were interested in and he managed to get us into several of them for in-depth conversations with wine makers. His comfortable, air-conditioned car was a big plus on some of the hottest days in the area. Can't wait to do the Chablis area with him, next.
