    Stop atProvence Wine Tours

Meet your english-speaking wine expert guide in front of our meeting point (centrally located close to the "Cours Mirabeau") in Aix en Provence. Your guide will drive you in a clean, comfortable & A/C minivan accommodating up to 8 people maximum. You will arrive half an hour later in the wine region of Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire, located at the foothills of the impressive Sainte-Victoire Mountain. Get a private visit at 2 wineries, family-owned and awarded estates. Taste some reds full of character & finess, aromatic or gastronomic rosés and lively whites (about 9 different wines in total). You will be back to Aix en Provence around 12.15pm to the same place where we met at the beginning of the tour. We select different types of wineries in order to offer you the opportunity to see different ways to work. We have developed partnerships allowing us to take you behind the scenes: from the winemaking & aging rooms to the bottling lines, you will see everything! Your guide will also explain you about the soil, the climate, the grape varieties, the famous "terroir" but also the picking, pruning, green harvesting and many other subjects in a relaxed and educational way.

Highly recommend!

Marla_H, Nov 2024

This is a great tour if you want to see the gorgeous countryside. Our guide took us northeast of Aix en Provence to two wineries. One old, one new. We learned so much about how the grapes are grown, harvested and aged. Our guide Loris was so knowledgeable about the history of the region. He was lovely and answered many questions. I would highly recommend.

Half day with the incredibly knowledgeable host Eric and good wines tasted

Jack S, Nov 2024

We joined a small group of 6 others on the half day tour from Aix to two Provence wineries and return.

Our guide Eric was incredibly knowledgeable and very accommodating, spending a good amount of time explaining the process from grape to bottling. Really interesting behind the scenes tour of the first winery.

We tasted six wines at each winery, two of each colour. Albeit not an expert, it was clear the wines themselves varied in quality. Some - in particular the white wines - were not to our taste. From memory they ranged from €8 to €16 a bottle. I’ve been on wine tours before where you’re able to taste premium and exclusive / limited edition wines but it was not the case here as both wineries we visited were commercialised rosé producers. At €85 per person it did seem quite expensive for the quality of wine tasted.

Overall, nice half day out with a good group of people and 10/10 fantastic host Eric.

Thank you for your very positive review of your guide and be assured we will let him know. Concerning your appreciation of the wines tasted we are sorry that the whites were not to your taste, but as your guide surely told you, not everyone appreciates the same wine. We try to introduce you to different estates, with different winemaking methods, so that you can get a general idea of the wines of our region. We work with local producers whom we have selected for the quality of their wines and their hospitality. Please note that the quality of a wine is not always related to its price! However, if you want to taste grands crus, or expensive wines, you should booke a private tour and selecte the estates you want to visit, according to your tast. We will be happy to help!

Cheers!

Gorgeous morning, amazing wines

samanthakJ7272KL, Nov 2024

Our wine tour was incredible! It was a nice number of people (only 8) and our guide was awesome-- super knowledgable and took amazing pictures of everyone. And the wine was fantastic! It was an absolutely lovely way to spend a morning in the countryside. I would do this tour again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

Brilliant day

Tom_B, Nov 2024

We had the most amazing time with Igal. It was a very easy to arrange tour, we just had to turn up and we were given a brilliant morning of excellent wines and great coaching from a mentor who clearly knows his wine expertly and made us feel very welcome. Well worth the price and an easy way to visit some expert vineyards in Provence
