Taphael was the best guide for a day on the Champagne Tour!
Jacqueline_B, Dec 2024
Raphael was an excellent communicator and made sure we knew where and when to meet and what to expect. He offered several different choices to customize our experience. The champagne house we visited was commercial but very interesting. The champagne was very good. We chose to visit Notre Dame and also stopped at Dom Perignon’s burial site. We were taken to an authentic French lunch which was delicious and very enjoyable. Raphael was an excellent host and I would definitely go with him again on this tour, his Catacombs tour or his Motorcycle Sidecar tour of Paris! Bravo!
Definitely recommend

Raphael was GREAT!! Had a wonderful time enjoying bubbles in the vineyards, tasty lunch as well as seeing the caves.
Beautiful destination and wonderful guide.
The cathedral was beautiful!
Sometimes it’s the tour, and sometimes it the guide!

What can we say about Raphael… well, this guy made the trip and went above and beyond! I booked for the bfs bday and inquired about some surprises during lunch. He called me within 24 hours of the inquiry on WhatsApp and set the expectation. After a great start to the day and fun tour at Champagne Mercier, we had lunch at a local spot. Much to my sheer delight, the server brought out a bday dessert and sang happy birthday. Mortifying the bf and giving the entire restaurant a good laugh. The entire day was fun, easy going and Raphael accommodated everything we wanted and needed. Not only did he call a venue we were interested in to help us with translating. he even dropped us at a bar and gave us reccos when we got back to the city. We will 100% reach out to him next time we’re in town and highly recommend him as a guide on any of the Viator tours he hosts!
Wonderful day in Champagne!

We had a wonderful time on this tour! Raphael was friendly and knowledgeable about the Champagne region and took us such fabulous places! We enjoyed both the champagne and time spent with Raphael! We would highly recommend this tour to others!
A not-miss experience

Raphaël delivered a once in a lifetime, unforgettable, lovey day. Just a 2 hour short drive from Paris dropped us into the heart of Champagne. We started our adventure standing in the vines that grow the grapes of Dom Pérignon sipping champagne. After a tour of the Mercier wine caves and a tasting, we enjoyed an authentic French meal at a local family restaurant … the poached egg in beef sauce was to die for. After eating, we made our way to private vineyard house where the owner spent time to share the story of generations of crafting their proud, local champagne - only available to a small network of customers. We learned the entire champagne making experience in a personal, private setting.
We left the day with an all new passion for champagne and the care & detail that goes into making the best the world has to offer.
