Wonderful daytrip through the Alps from Nice
jesscI9282IA, Dec 2024
We're so glad we booked this trip, it was an amazing day. There were stunning views the whole way and we toured two medieval villages. The history was fascinating and everywhere was so picturesque. We stopped for a delicious lunch in a local restaurant, and it's a success of Nice Creative Tours that they've built up some good relationships at the tour stops, everyone we met was super friendly, and there were options for drinks, ice cream, souvenirs etc along the way.
Our tour guide Cyril deserves a special mention, a really welcoming and friendly host. He was so knowledgeable about the area, and was able to put the information in cultural context and in a way that was very entertaining. We we learned so much. He ensured we had a delicious vegan option for lunch, and went above and beyond by recommending local 'accidentally' vegan specialties, which were great to try out on the rest of our holiday. He was chatting and laughing with the group the whole day, ensuring everyone was having a good time.
Exceptional tour would definitely recommend whether you are travelling solo, with family or friends.

Fantastic route, well thought out by people who clearly appreciate the miracle of nature, history and culture! However, if it wasn’t for our lovely tour guide Carmela it wouldn’t have been even close to the amazing experience that it ended up being.
She elevated the whole experience by being friendly, approachable, joyful and above all passionate about her work! She made us all feel part of the group and the things I learned I will never forget them! Thank you so much Carmela, keep up the good work!!
Lookin for more of hike. Not a walking tour.

Thought it was going to be more of a hiking experience but turned out to be a walking tour. But the guide was great and possibly due to train strike that called for an alternative plan.
Stunning landscapes

Well worth it for a chill and laid back day to get acquainted with the history of France's southern coast and visit charming (and friendly!) villages up in Alps. Cyrill was an absolute gem! His attentiveness and wealth of information made the trip even more enjoyable. He went above and beyond in catering to us and the group.

Carmela was wonderful! She was very interactive with our group and shared so much information regarding the history and geography for our tour. We had a slight dilemma with one of our trains running late and missing a connecting bus transit. But that was no problem for Carmela and who was able to quickly adjust our schedule to make the most of our time while still getting to all of the activities as promised. She was very personable and it was obvious that she truly cared that our experience was the best possible.
