    Itinerary

This is a typical itinerary for this product

    Stop atOmaha Beach

Omaha Beach was known to be the most difficult military objective when the invasion of Normandy was being planned. In order to be sure that the Allied forces took it the youngest and most foolhardy soldiers were assigned to it, most of them were American. You'll walk on the same sands as them and learn about their acts of heroism and sacrifice.

30 minutes (approx.)No admission tickets required

Stop atOverlord Museum - Omaha Beach

Operation Overlord was the code name given to the Allied Invasion of northwest Europe. This museum has an unequaled collection of military equipment that was used to either defend or attack the coast of Normandy. Such as a full-sized authentic Higgins boat, with its front flap down, and impressive Sherman and Panzer tanks.

    1 hour (approx.)Admission included

    Stop atBatterie Allemande de Longues-Sure-Mer

This German Battery has a fully intact Command Bunker and 3 other bunkers that are still armed with huge 150 mm guns today. You'll climb inside the bunkers with your guide and find out what happened on the morning of D-day from the Axis perspective. Learning about Rommel's defenses known as the "Atlantic Wall".

45 minutes (approx.)No admission tickets required

    Stop atRésidence l’Hostréière

For lunch, you will stop at a mom-and-pop style restaurant such as the l'Hostéière. On the coast, there are no fancy restaurants. There are only little places with fresh local foods such as salads, omelets, barbecued meats, and crepes. We do not include your lunch in our tour price. You can pick whatever you want from the menu. Plan on spending 10-20€.

    1 hour (approx.)Admission not included

    Stop atPointe du Hoc

The Pointe-du-Hoc was a strategic German defensive point that had huge guns pointed towards both Omaha and Utah Beaches. On D-day, it was a top priority to capture. Here you will walk around huge bomb craters to the edge of a 110ft tall, seaside cliff. Learn how Rudders Rangers climbed it with rocket-powered grappling hooks and their bayonets.

45 minutes (approx.)No admission tickets required

    Stop atCimetiere Americain de Colleville-sur-Mer

Here 9,388 white marble tombs stand in perfectly straight lines. You'll walk among the Crosses and Stars of David with your guide and pay your respects to those who sacrificed everything. You'll visit Medal of Honor winners and also the Niland brothers whose real-life story inspired the movie "Saving Private Ryan".

1 hour (approx.)No admission tickets required

    Stop atFerme de la Sapiniere

Before there was a war there were apple trees to tend in Normandy. The apple orchards in Normandy grow dozens of different varieties of apples and turn them into amazing apple juices, hard ciders, and strong liquor called Calvados. We'll stop at one of the local orchards and you'll get to taste some of Normandy’s famous Cider. We’ll pay for your tasting.

Expensive uber ride to hallowed ground.

WGreg_R, Dec 2024

The guide provided little or no guidance and told us very little about this incredible hallowed ground. We spent way too long at lunch (1.5 hours) and the Operation Overload Musuem (1.5) when we could have seen Utah beach and the Airborne drop areas. It was basically an expensive Uber ride. The van was too small for 8 adults - especially the back row. The cider tasting could have been skipped. Other tours I have done with you included a guide sharing lots of information. Five hours driving with virtually no discussion. Worth visiting Normady and the guide was pleasant but not very informative.

Fun with Phillipe.

bernadinefaulkner, Dec 2024

This was so much fun. Exhausting but worth it. We saw everything I had hoped for and more. The final event was hearing taps played at the US cemetery as the flag was lowered at 5pm. There were a total of 7 in our van. It was a great blend of people. And we learned so much more than I ever knew.

Amazing Experience!!

We had an amazing time on this tour. Our guide was knowledgeable friendly and provided everything we needed. Omaha Beach was particularly emotional for me but the entire trip was amazing! Thank you so much !!

We had a wonderful visit. Aaron was an excellent guide and paid attention room to detail. His military background added so much to the trip. His passion was evident in every aspect ou our trip and he didn’t mind staying longer to make sure we enjoyed our visit. Thank you so much Aaron. Paul and Karin.
