Wonderful Experience Despite Ticket Issues

The Palace of Versailles was amazing!! You are able to go in so many rooms in the palace which I was impressed with (we had gone to other palaces in Germany and only seen a few room so being able to see so many rooms in this palace was a happy surprise). The gardens were beautiful as well!
The only issue we had was checking in. We added what we thought were the tickets to our Apple Wallet. It was the incorrect barcode (some barcode for TripAdviser not the palace. The email sent 24 hours earlier had an attachment with the correct tickets which we only discovered later. We didn’t have cell service because of traveling internationally so we were unable to load the correct tickets. Thankfully, after speaking with several people at information and being turned away by several people, one of the workers took pity on us and spoke with the people at the entrance gate and got us in without seeing the correct tickets.
Other than the ticket confusion, I would highly recommend going to the Palace of Versailles! Make sure to get tickets for both the palace and the gardens because it’s definitely worth it to see both!! Definitely get tickets ahead of time because the wait time to enter without tickets is hours!

Versailles itself was amazing. The palace and gardens were wonderful to see, so many rooms to explore and plenty of outside space to walk around. There’s even option to go on some boats in the garden! However, please be aware when buying tickets, that we booked for an 11:00am slot and when we were sent the tickets they were for 12:30pm. When questioning this, it was explained that due to crowd control these were the tickets that Versailles administration provided. Tickets worked and were fine, but be prepared to move your plans around last minute.

Das Versailles ist auf jeden Fall sehr sehenswert. Leider wurden wir beim Buchen über diese Agentur überschritten gehauen. zahlten 39€pro Person nur für das Chateau, ohne den Garten. Wobei es hieß der Garten wäre mitdabei. Sie haben auch unsere gebuchte Zeit verschoben, was uns eine zeitliche Enge für eine bestehende Buchung am Abend verursachte. Das war schade, und sie gingen auf unsere Fragen nicht mehr ein sondern ignorieren uns. Anstand den Standardpreis haben wir das doppelte bezahlt.
Beautiful but disorganized

Surely the Palace and the gardens are remarkable both for their history and for their feature! But despite the tickets taken in advance we entered 40 minutes late due to the queue and so we lost the opportunity to see even a part of the visit included in the ticket! Inside you don’t have a clear room name and there is really too much overcrowding, sometimes you struggle to move! In short, total disorganization also due to the disproportionate number of guides present who place themselves in front of the accesses blocking everything!
