Stop atArc de Triomphe du Carrousel
Meeting with your professional guide at the Carousel arc at 6.00 pm. Your guide will be waiting for you with a sign. The impressive pyramid made by the American architect Pei is the main entrance of the Museum. You have a pass for priority entry. With your professional guide you will then visit the 3 departments of the Museum: Sully, Denon and Richelieu. In the Sully wing, you will discover the oldest part of the Museum. You will be immersed in the world of the Middle Ages. In the Denon department, you will find wonderful Greek statues: Venus de Milo & Victoire de Samothrace as well as Italian paintings. The Italian Gallery is almost 1 km long. It houses most of the great Italian masters: Da Vinci, Raphael, Caravaggio, Veronese, .... A little further you will discover all the details of the Coronation of Napoleon. David's gigantic painting tells us about the Coronation of the Emperor in Notre Dame Cathedral.

Private tour of the Lourve

Ludovic was an excellent tour guide for our trip to the louvre. He knew his way around the massive museum and was able to show us many masterpieces in our 2 1/2 hour tour. He shared with us his extensive knowledge about French history, the history of the louvre building and the many masterpieces that that the museum has. We had many wonderful tours while in Paris but the family agrees that Ludovic gave us the best tour of the trip. He was a delight!

Our guide Joseph was great. He was very likable and informative. The collection of the Louve is vast and impressive. Skip the line feature was great. Maybe should have done the earliest morning tour for less crowds.

You are right, your guide has a lot of knowledge. He is highly qualified and experienced. A tour with a professional guide cannot be compared to a self-guided visit in this gigantic museum with 16 km of galleries.
