Great tour around the Black Forest 🖤

Mariagrazia_F, Sep 2023

I really appreciated everything ,it was a great and wonderful tour around the Black Forest .We were a group of 6 people and our guide was Robyn,a very kind person full of knowledge. Fist stop was at the ancient ruins of a castle in Baden Baden .Then we moved to the city center of Baden Baden and we visited there all the most important buildings and the park in the city ,a place full of greenery. We had about 1 hour of free time to eat and to visit the city by ourselves. After we moved to visit fairy places in the Black Forest : small towns , beutiful houses ,lakes and various wonderful landscapes. We had time to buy something inside shops and to take an icecream. The tour was simply amazing and I reccomended to all.Mery on Travel ,Tik Toker and TripAdvisor member .

One of the best!

Not Worth the Money or Time

Marcella_P, Aug 2023

I was looking for a daytrip from Strasbourg and the pictures and descriptions looked great. First, Pauline, our guide was fantastic. She was chatty and full of knowledge. It was the trip alone. Let's start with Baden Baden. It is just a shopping area with high end stores, no special places to see as far as museums, castles. But because it is a shopping areas DO NOT go there on a Sunday, which we did. All stores are closed and most restaurants too. So instead of spending 2 hours there our trip was cut to 45 minutes because there was nothing to do. It is known for their hot springs -- that is what you need to go here for - do a day trip to visit their spas and do a hot spring. Otherwise not worth going to.

Next you have the Black Forest. It is beautiful. We got out and walked about a 1/2 hour, the shortest trail. It would have been so much better had we done the long trail at 1.5 hours, that would have been worth it. Once the walk was done we got back in the and went to a lake at the top of the mountain. It was so cloudy you couldn't see the lake. There is a restaurant up there, Pauline had advised it was not the best and that is the truth. I threw my sandwich away and the dessert was so so.

On the way down we stopped at a house that had a little hut where you could pay money, good faith, and take a taste of schnapps. Was quirky but fun. Pauline mentioned that people will do hikes/walks/biking and hit all these various schnapps places -- now that is the tour to do.

It also didn't help that this is a small group, van seats 8. No wifi in the van or places to plug in chargers. Four adults also smoked, so every time we got out of the van they lit up and then got back into the van and it just reeked, your clothes smelled and it was just recycled smoke. Made for a very long day.

Best bet find the one off tours like of listed above or do a private tour and make it your own.

Bonjour Marcell,

Thank you for sharing your experience from the day trip. We're delighted to hear that Pauline, your guide, left a positive impression on you with her knowledge and enthusiasm.

However, we're truly sorry to learn that certain aspects of the tour did not meet your expectations.

Regarding the weather and store closures in Baden Baden on Sundays, we regret any inconvenience this caused. While we can't control the weather or store schedules...

We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced due to the absence of Wi-Fi and charging outlets in the van. We understand that these amenities can enhance the travel experience, but we'd like to clarify that we inform costumers that these features are not included in our tours.

Best,

Great day trip

Very friendly tour guide Laurent. I loved seeing the casino in Baden Baden and honestly would have liked a bit more time in Baden Baden; I felt that the time spent at Mummelsee Lake could have been shorter to allow for that. But that is the only quibble; we stopped at some super places in the Black Forest, and everyone (a very mixed group of people from all over the world) had a great time.
