Fun morning activity to learn about Lille

A lovely way to explore Lille with family

As our family trip to Lille included a holiday when most museums were closed, we used this app to explore the city and inject a bit of lighthearted competition while doing so.
The app allows you to divide in teams (if you want to, it is perfectly possible to be one big team), and sends you to various places around the city to watch and answer a few questions.
Some of these questions are easy, and some of them will test if you paid attention in history class, but they are a good mix of knowing things and searching things. It kept our two kids of 8 and 10 locked in a friendly competition.
There is the occasional photo challenge where you have to find a place and pose in a certain fashion. At the end, you can see all the selfies from the entire team, which makes for a nice memory.
I also discovered that despite having been to Lille multiple times, I still had one or two nice little squares and places I had missed or not paid enough attention to.
Worth noting is that there is no time limit within the day. Stopping for food or drink, or even to have a little shopping interlude is therefore perfectly OK.
So all in all, I'd definitely recommend for people who like to have a casual guide in their pocket, as well as for people who like some competition while doing so!

Great app, we learnt lots of information we wouldn’t have done on our own, it got us around the main areas and was easy to use. I would use them again in different cities, would recommend and better than others we have tried.

Rubbish directions - had to abandon

We had to abandon it as the instructions and map were not clear and we had to keep turning around. Really disappointing as it sounded fun

Quite a nice way to find your way around the old city. We took our time and it lasted about 4 hours, that includes a few beer stops though.
