This was our second wine tour with Pieter. We did one in Burgundy and were very happy. This tome, while researching for a tour in Alsace we saw Pieter and booked the tour without hesitation.
Tasting Day in Alsace

Peter was great - we had a full day at four tastings (with a last minute extra) plus an enjoyable lunch in an historic town dating back 1000 years. Peter is extremely knowledgeable about wine from the Alsace region plus more, and he educated us more in one day than I think we have learned in years. We will be keeping his contact info for future trips!
Wonderful day exploring Alsace wine

Peter picked us up on time in front of our hotel and drove through the beautiful countryside to take our small group to 4 wineries. Each wineries was unique and told a different tale about Alsatian wine. At each location, the winery staff would explain the wines and pour samples. Peter guided what was poured to allow us to experience the variety of alsacian sparkling (cremant), whites (Pinot gris, riesling, gewurztraminer), and reds (Pinot noir) in both sweet and dry. We stopped for lunch and walked a little in the beautiful historic town of Riquewihr (a nice break from all the wine). Peter shared his knowledge of the local wine making process and answered any questions we had. Our tour was in English which is only one language he speaks very well. We had a wonderful day and very much enjoyed our guide’s company. The private tour and driver were well worth the price.

We had an amazing day with Peter! He customized the tour to fit our wine taste and changed things last minute to accommodate us. We all became friends and lots of laughs were shared throughout the day.Would definitely book with him again!

Peter was incredibly knowledgeable about Alsace wines. He organized a tour to 4 different and unique wineries that were all special. We really enjoyed the day and Peter’s relationship with the various vintners made each stop feel very intimate. This was a wonderful way to discover the wines of Alsace.
