Had a great time in this restaurant based in Hautviller.

Food was spot on and well portioned, the service is top with owners taking the time to chat between courses.

Also two very big scorers for me:

- the wine selection is fab and you can see the bottles in display in the room

- there is no signal in the restaurant, it's refreshing to eat without phone ringing or notifications interrupting

Finally a restaurant in Hautvillers which is also open in the evening. Went there with my partner and two friends and had lovely lunch - it was so good we came back for dinner. Nice wines, champagnes and very good food at a reasonable price. Great service too. Only the fries and the croutons in de Caesar salad could have been a bit more crispy, but that did not spoil the great experience. Definitely worth a visit when you find yourself in Hautvillers or around.

Finally an eatablishment in Hautvillers that remains open later in the evening! Le Chai is newly opened and operating as a restaurant and bar. A wonderfully welcoming and friendly team. We did not eat during our visits. However, the food we saw coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic. We enjoyed a delicious Champagne tasting, and went back again more than once to drink our favourite ?. Other wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages also available. We were fortunate to be in Hautvillers during La fête de la musique, and Le Chai featured a DJ on the Friday evening, which was lots of fun. We look forward to our next visit!

Super restaurant!

We came here on the last night of our first trip with our 6 month old daughter. To end the trip we wanted to try one more fancy meal, but unfortunately our daughter did not agree to this. However, the staff was very understanding and when we finally got her to sleep, we enjoyed a delicious meal with a delicious wine.

Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience a top gastronomic evening.
