It was such a treat to end our day with Bistrot Des Tournelles. The vibe, the staff and the food were all amazing.

The beef stew Provençal was the clear favorite in our table and was quickly devoured by adults and kids (probably should’ve ordered one more). I personally loved the fillet au poivre, perfectly cooked steak bathed in a rich pepper sauce. The asparagus ravioli was a surprise, never had asparagus come off so strong (in a good way) and the hazelnuts complemented them perfectly. The chicken with oyster mushrooms in jus was great too, I couldn’t stop eating the mushrooms. I had a bite of the strawberry in chantilly cream before the kiddos made quick work out of the dessert.

Shout out to the staff who were super friendly and accommodating to our large group as well. Dining in a French bistro with kids is a little intimidating for us but they made sure we were comfortable and at ease.

This is a strong recommend and I would consider coming back if we find our way in Paris again.

Top 3 meals of my week long trip to Paris. Vibe is on point. Hip dark venue with an adorable staff serving classic bistrot fare. Servers were so nice. Must highlight how friendly they were. I ordered a bottle of orange wine, the cordon bleu, filet au poivre, and for dessert profiterole. All were very on point for straightforward/ classic dishes. Steamed cooked as requested, pepper sauce wasn’t too spicy. Omg the mashed potatoes were very good. Almost forgot about those. Highlight of the meal was the chicken - My cordon bleu was oozing with melty gooey cheese like a volcano. It exceeded my expectations. Dessert came out with a melted chocolate almond sauce poured over it, was cold hot chocolatey nutty and hit all the bases for me.

A perfect French bistro. A small restaurant with a small menu, however everything is excellent. The ravioli, steak au poivre and fries were delicious but the highlight of the night was the profiterole with hot chocolate sauce.

An absolute masterpiece! The Cordon bleu de volaille was just AAAAHHH! And the poulet fermier with purée de pommes de terre was so velvety and soft -- can't stop thinking about it!!

I followed the advice of other diners and ordered the Cordon Bleu... Juicy, tender with a super gooey middle. The accompanying fries were, to my delight, extra crispy. Both portions very generous.

The only thing that could have elevated my experience further was seating at a table rather than the comptoir. But it looks like it's nearly impossible to make reservations for one in Paris, so it is what it is.
