Disappointing

TIDTraveller, Dec 2024

Having been to Disney in Florida last year, I think my expectations were too high. They are doing a lot of renovation work here. Disney Studios was done in 3 hours for our teens. There is boarding up everywhere where they are making repairs, with a lot closed. We saved Peter Pan to the last day, and then that was shut (today) without warning. The staff looked miserable. We bought the photo pass but apart from one person by the castle, there was no one to be seen over the 4 days we were there, able to take photos to be included.

Don’t waste your money on it.

There is security to get into Disney Village (from our on site hotel). You queue but no one is looking at the items going through, the attendants are on their mobile phones.

Nobody working there seems happy. And with the shut down rides, the lack of atmosphere, and the E19 for a burger fries and Coke, it’s definitely not the happy place we hoped.

Heaven help you if you have accessibility issues. An utter disgrace.

We stayed for 1 night and 2 days. One of us had mobility issues following ankle surgery, which mandated them needing a walking stick to move about the park, and wearing an ankle brace to cover the surgery area. This made walking extremely challenging and painful.

Given this, at the resort itself, we enquired with City Hall about disability assistance, given the mobility issues, but were effectively told we were ‘not disabled enough’ to merit any assistance.

Travelling about the park was no better. We utilised a lift to get onto the railway ride which transports guests around the park, to the ride level from the ground, rather than use the stairs. Yet at the top of the elevator, we were

told that the elevator was only those who were ‘disabled’ and that we should have used the stairs?!

When we reached the hotel (Newport Bay hotel), we were told that there was not even 1 wheelchair in the entire hotel which we could use to help navigate ourselves to the room. A hotel with over 500 rooms. And not a single wheelchair for temporary use? I am not even sure of the legality of this, but even still, it’s Disney we are talking about here. You’d think having a wheelchair for use would be possible? Apparently not. ‘We only have wheelchairs in the main resort’ was the reponse given. Unbelievable.

In short, we would discourage anyone with a physical disability to contemplate a visit to Disneyland Paris. The contempt, and indifference, displayed by most of the staff** to anyone with mobility issues is simply disgusting. An utter disgrace.

**Some staff were sympathetic to be fair, but expressed their futility in being able to help, due to rules imposed by Disneyland Paris, which rendered them unable to assist.

Indeed, the utter contempt by the staff had my other half in tears in her hotel room by the end of the first day. We didn’t even bother returning to the park/resort on day two. We went home, instead, to avoid facing any further embarrassment/contempt by the staff/resort in dealing with those with mobility issues.

Fantastic Stay, But Flying Is a Better Option for Families

Camper47387446079, Dec 2024

Exceeded expectations—something for everyone, and we will definitely be returning. We traveled with two adults and two children (ages 4 and 9). However, I wouldn’t take the Eurostar next time; I would 100% fly, especially with children and luggage.

Just magic!

SWH100, Dec 2024

First time visiting Disneyland in about 30 years. Knew I was going to like it, but didn’t realise just how much I was going to love it. Got a weekend ticket during the Olympics for my partner as a surprise. It was the best way to end our week in Paris. We had so much fun and can’t remember a time we had laughed so much. I didn’t do the big rollercoasters but my partner did and she loved them. I loved the smaller rides - buzz was my fav, but loved the Star Wars stimulator, autoipoa, Peter Pan, dumbo, small world, pirates, the

riverboat and so much more. Loved the walk throughs - esp Alice and wonderland maze. The parade was so good and I loved the Lion King show. Shops were all brill. Just had the best two days and already making plans to come back. Magic ✨.

It's alright

rjwatkinsw, Dec 2024

It's alright. Costs a fortune and queues are insane. More busses needed after the light show for families to get home- people literally fighting each other to get on- my husband is on crutches and got injured trying to board. Also staff need to stop people reserving the benches hours before the light show starts. My husband can not stant for long and was told by a man who 'set up camp' on a bench by barricading it in with loads of bags that he was not able to sit down on the bench as he was 'reserving' it for his family hours later. I hope that man's shopping bags break and his pasta sauce smashes. I hope he steps barefoot on a lego. I hope he goes missing
