Stop atFondation Claude Monet
You will be driven from Paris to Giverny, in the comfort of an air-conditioned minibus, where you will start your day with the visit of Claude Monet’s property. Located at the edge of Normandy, about 50 miles north of Paris, Claude Monet’s Home is one of the most popular tour destination around Paris. There you will discover the famous gardens created by the most famous of the Impressionist painters often referred to as the father of Impressionism, though not the first to have painted in « a style that would become known as Impressionism ». You will enjoy the sight of the well-known Japanese bridge in the midst of its flowered paths and wather-lily ponds, and the house, with its pink crushed brick façade, where the leader of the Impressionist School spent 43 years from 1883 until his death in 1926. After a morning spent in one of this most inspirational settings, you will head off to the banks of the Epte River where you will have lunch at the lovely “Moulin de Fourges” restaurant, a 200-year-old mill. The architecture of this listed site, dating back to the 18th century, draws its inspiration from hamlet of Marie-Antoinette at Versailles.
Stop atPalace of Versailles
In the afternoon, you will be driven to Versailles Palace, residence of the Sun King, Louis XIV, to enjoy a guided visit of Louis XIV’s suite, the Hall of Mirrors and more… After your guided tour inside the castle you will also have some remaining time to discover the famous “A la Française” gardens. The Musical Fountain Show takes place every weekend from April to October. During this period access to the gardens will be included to see the fountains and groves spring to life to the rhythm of the music: On Saturdays and Sundays from April to October + some additional dates (May 8,10, 22, 29, June 5, 12, 19, 26 and August 15)

Everything we wanted out of a day trip
Claire_F, Dec 2024
Our day trip was great. The tour company had good communication leading up to the day of the trip and the meeting spot was easy to find. We left on time, and our guide Nic was wonderful. Everything was very well organized. We had 4 people in our group, so it did not feel crowded and we rode to Giverny and Versailles in a van. We had plenty of time at each location, and at Versailles we had headsets to allow us to hear the guide well. The lunch break was also lovely. The only thing that would have been nice was if they water were available in the van as it was a warm day, but that is a small thing. Overall highly recommend and really happy with the trip!

A wonderful day out
Julie_S, Dec 2024
We had a lovely time at both Giverny and Versailles. We were blown away by the amazing flower gardens at Giverny. We were there in June, it was simply magical. We had a lovely lunch at a picturesque spot along the way, and spent the second half of the day at Versailles. I can understand why it’s a half day tour, coming from Newport RI I think I expected it to be more furnished as the Newport mansions are, but the paintings and art were breathtaking. The gardens were lovely, the time we had there was perfect, our guide was funny and knowledgeable.

Dear Julie,
It's wonderful to hear about your fantastic experience at both Giverny and Versailles! The beauty of the flower gardens at Giverny in June truly is magical, and we're delighted that you enjoyed them. It's great to know that you appreciated the picturesque lunch spot and had a lovely time at both locations. While Versailles may differ from the furnished Newport mansions you're accustomed to, we're glad to hear that you found the paintings and art breathtaking. The gardens and the knowledgeable guide added to your experience, making it a perfect day trip. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us!

Okay tour but not if you want to really explore Versailles
Thomas_K, Dec 2024
It was nice to have a tour where we were able to see both Giverny's House and Versailles in the same day. However there really wasn't enough time allotted in Versailles given the enormity of the place, gardens, and fountains, which are beautiful but we barely had opportunity to explore. Instead of spending 1.5 hours on a tour provided lunch the time would better have been spent in Versailles.
Responses from Arnaud B
Dear Thomas,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed visiting both Giverny's House and Versailles in one day.
We understand your concern about the time spent at Versailles. The grandeur of the palace, gardens, and fountains certainly deserves ample time for exploration. We will consider your feedback for future tours to ensure our guests have a more fulfilling experience at Versailles.
Regarding the lunch break, we aim to provide a comfortable and relaxing meal experience, but we understand that maximizing your time at the sites is crucial. We will review our schedule to find a better balance between meal breaks and site visits.
Your input is invaluable in helping us improve our tours. We hope to welcome you on another tour in the future, where we can provide an even better experience.
Warm regards,
Arnaud
An enjoyable way to spend a day
Patrick_H, Dec 2024
My wife and I enjoyed this tour. Comfortable transportation and a small group of 8 people. The attractions were enjoyable and our guide and driver were friendly and very knowledgeable. The lunch at a small restaurant in the country was very nice and gave us a chance to meet our fellow travelers. The one thing I didn’t think made sense was our guide gave us a preliminary tour of the sites, we were given personal time to walk around. At first this seemed like a good idea, but having a guide full time to offer more information would have been better in my opinion. Still, overall, a good experience.
