A highlight of our family trip to Paris
marjoriea19, Dec 2024
Our family of 4 (2 adults 2 teens age 16 and 14) had a wonderful e-bike adventure trip to Versailles. It was a highlight of our two week trip to France (4 days in Paris). Renaud was an excellent tour guide for our group of 7 (small group-lucky!). We spoke English and French and he could guide us well. We stopped at a marché to get our picnic which we had on the banks of the water in the parc of Versailles. We toured the village of the Petit Trianon. The bikes were in excellent shape and really fun and easy to ride (use turbo mode in the alleys leading up to Versailles and any hills and you will zoom). Our guide knew the history and struck a great balance of giving us space but guidance when needed. A super day, and yes it is a long day and well worth it! Highly recommend for families with teens where museum tours are best mixed with some adventure.

A great way to experience Paris and Versailles

We had such an amazing day! This is a must-do activity if you can!! Our guide, Nicolas, was a perfect match for our family of 4 (including two children). He was very knowledgeable about the bike paths & shared wonderful historical facts about Versailles. Additionally, Nicolas made the process of getting into the designated attractions very easy. His excellent time management skills were a key reason the day went so smoothly. The bikes were in excellent condition. We made great memories in this tour!
The best way to see Versailles if you’re visiting Paris
laceyh257, Dec 2024
This e-bike tour from Paris to Versailles was such and amazing experience. Renault was a wonderful guide throughout the entire day. We are a family of 4 from Texas and did this day trip with our 2 daughters ages 13 and 15. It was an excellent way to see Versailles but just make sure you are a fit and healthy family who enjoys being active because you are either on a bike or touring/walking ALL day. We loved it, and were completely exhausted at the end of the day :) Our e-bikes had side carriage bags to put your backpacks and a picnic blanket and Renault provided rain jackets just in case. You can buy food at the farmers market in Versailles and have a picnic lunch on the water. Renault gives lots of historical information along the bike ride, it’s very educational and he speaks excellent English. One thing to note is that he does not tour the palace with you so if you want a guide while inside the palace you’ll need to schedule that separately. Our tour did included Marie Antoinette’s hamlet (unlike other tours) and for us that was the real highlight of the tour! We enjoyed the hamlet and biking through the French countryside more than touring the palace. It’s such a beautiful area and if you’re physically fit it’s definitely the way to see Versailles. Were not tour bus people ☺️
Thank you, Renault, for a wonderful day!
Amazing day!

We had a small group, just two of us, and Nicolas was a great guide! This day was a top 10 day! While the palace was amazing, my favorite was the grounds which was easy to see when riding the bike. We would have explored more if it hadn’t been so hot the day we went. I had a few concerns about riding in the city but Paris has done a great job with bike lanes and Nicolas was great at guiding us through those areas. Definitely recommend this amazing trip!
