Stop atArc de Triomphe
After a 30-minute drive from Avignon, photo stop at the Arc de Triomphe in Orange with listening to audios retracing the history of the monument.

Stop atRoman Theatre of Orange
Audioguided tour of the majestic ancient theatre built around 20 BC. Then about 30 minutes drive to Pont du Gard

After an hour-long picnic overlooking the Pont du Gard, walk around the magnificent and imposing Pont du Gard which was part of a 52 km long Roman aqueduct to supply Nîmes with water. It was built around the 50s AD. Then 30 minutes drive to Nîmes.

Stop atLa Maison Carree Nimes
Photo stop in front of the Maison Carrée de Nîmes, an ancient Roman temple dedicated to the grandsons of the Emperor Augustus. Then 15 minutes walk to the Nîmes Arena.

Audioguided tour of the splendid Nîmes bullring built around 100 AD on the model of the Colosseum of Rome. Then 15 minutes walk to pick up the car and about 45 minutes drive to Avignon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day with our amazing guide, Arnaud. This tour included all the places on our "must see" list. The added bonus was the lovely picnic lunch with all locally sourced foods. I highly recommend his tours!!

A great day well pace ……highly recommend…the lunch was great but some French wine would have gone down well…instead of the fresh eggs…a choice of ham also …bring the cheese out earlier too…so nice…the bread scrumptous.
The last visit could have been shorter

Thank you for the review and for your remarks. My goal is to provide a Provençal picnic with products from local farms, so you have to know that in Provence we don’t make ham, and we eat cheese between the main meal and dessert. About wine, I can’t bring alcohol during a picnic I offer, I am sorry.
About the shorter last visit, I take it into account to improve my tour in the future, thank you !

Amazing view of Roman Theater in Orange

The spectacle of ancient Roman Theater of Orange was amazing and unexpected. View of the Theater from the hill where we had a picnic for lunch was also great.
