Visit to Carcassonne you should not miss. But in August is very crowded at mid day hours. Also these hours is very warm.
Ideal transport and ticket arrangement but coach so hot hot hot!

Everything ideal in terms of information book at start with tickets for entry provided and explained on boarding coach. Clear communication on meeting points. Ideal for visiting the place ourselves as we wanted to. Would have given full 5 stars if hadn’t been for the poor quality of air conditioning on the coach. The heat was stifling yet top window never opened by the driver to create airflow and cool coach down so coach was sticky whole return journey in heat of the day and couldn’t wait to get off back in Toulouse.

The castle is beautiful but we could have done the whole town in two hours. It was also very hot and the bus was old and without air conditioning.

Sometimes we have to put an old coach but it is very rare (when the main coach is being repaired).

It was a self guided tour in the medieval city, it was a quite interesting and touristic destination.

The location is great. However this is only a bus ride. Someone checks you in at the beginning. And tells you to be back at the bus on the other side. And nobody speaks to you the entire rest of the time. And don’t be late for the ride back. It just leaves.
