Lovely day trip

Emmanuel was so knowledgeable and explained a great deal about the terroir and age of wines we tasted, and how they will change over time. He kindly showed us on maps where the wines originated. While we did not feel obligated to make purchases, we did opt to ship a couple cases home to the US after Emmanuel explained the the shipping costs are covered by the tax savings of shipping the wine home (and we cannot not buy these wines in the US).
He also helped us make a Monday night dinner reservation, which is difficult, as many restaurants are closed on Sunday & Monday.
A lovely day overall, with more tastings than advertised, including several 1st cru selections.

The day was great. We tried a lot of Burgundian wine. I really enjoyed Aloxe-Conton and Caveau des Musigny. The middle winery wasn’t anything to write about.
We stopped for lunch which was at a cute Brasserie in Nuite St. George.
The food was Parisian, which was so fun to try.
Our guide was very knowledgeable about the wine and area.
I would say the only part I didn’t enjoy was that our guide smoked a lot during the tour & sometimes the smoke interfered with the smell & taste of wine because all we could smell was his cigarette smoke.

Virginie was the perfect guide! A native of Dijon she knew the appellation’s between Dijon and Beaune very well. Couldn’t have asked for a better day on the Côte d’Or!

Great experience! Our guide is a very knowledgeable person and she provided a lot of historical information. We had a nice lunch all together! The guide is nice and friendly, speaks English very well! We had a great pleasure during this guided tour!
