Not good - not sure whose fault this mess is -not mine

What a mess: I booked an available time slot on tripadvisor, Viator took the payment from my card - so I assumed it was confirmed. We showed up on the day - no sign of Hubert. So I dig into my trip advisor account and I find out that Hubert had "declined" the tour - despite having a time slot available and taking my money. I had zero emails from Hubert, tripadvisor or Viator saying it was cancelled. Now I will have to fight to get my money back from Viator - who have not even replied to my email from 4 days ago. Hubert this mess reflects on you as well I am sorry to say. I have booked many things through Tripadvisor before and NEVER had this happen.

I have no idea who you are since you didn't sign your message,
but as you said the booking (and not the tour) was "declined" (not cancelled) so it means that you automatically received an email from Viator to inform you. Indeed, you saw it on your Tripadvisor account you said.
I never got any money from you as we, providers, receive the money the next month only if the tour is completed.
In case of trouble with Viator you can always ask me in a polite way I will be glad to help you.

Great way to discover another side of our dear city, thanks to Hubert, our talented guide who was able to immerse us in another world, on this last (rainy!) day of 2023.
We are up for other adventures with Hubert!

J'ai fait plusieurs visites avec Hubert : la franc maçonnerie et les églises oubliées de Bordeaux.
Les 2 eraient tres intéressantes. J'ai appris plein de choses. Merci et à bientôt pour d'autres aventures .

Le petit tour (de deux heures) que Hugo nous (ma classe, gymnase, âge: 18 ans) a proposé était bien au delà d'un tour "sight-seeing" - bien sûr qu'on avait une vue d'ensemble des bâtiments et monuments importants mais Hubert a aussi réussi à nous donner envie de vouloir savoir plus sur l'histoire mouvementée de cette ville et ceci par des propos précis et courts et dans une langue claire, très bien adaptée aux élèves germanophones.
