Stop atPont du Gard
The result of outstanding architectural design, the Pont du Gard is one of the world’s best-preserved examples of Roman ingenuity. The most visited ancient monument in France, listed a world heritage site by Unesco, the Pont du Gard aqueduct remains one of humankind's great masterpieces. A marvel of Antiquity and a true technical feat.

Stop atJardins de la Fontaine
The garden was laid out in accordance with the classical layout around the Nemausus spring, spreading forth a supply of water that feeds pools and the canal. In the Gallo-Roman period, this area was the site of the baths, theatre and the temple of Diana which with its surrounding greenery makes for a romantic backdrop.

Stop atArenes de Nimes
The Roman amphitheatre (or arena) in Nîmes is the best-conserved of the Roman world. The monument was turned into a fortress in the Middle Ages, forming a refuge for the population in case of danger. The inner part was later filled by private houses until the nineteenth century. In 1809, houses, chapels and the chateau of the viscounts of Nîmes were demolished to give the monument its initial appearance. Today, the amphitheatre forms a fine venue for many occasions—bullfights, congresses, concerts and sports events.

Magical Provence
Kyla_C, Dec 2024
So many. We have discovered even more of Provence than we could ever imagined and love it. Our tour was suppose to be a small group tour however it ended up as a private tour with just the 2 of us. Natalie was amazing and her knowledge outstanding.
A Tour in-depth Tourism
Angela_H, Dec 2024
It's an unforgettable experience. The local tour includes a walking tour around the old town of Èze. Our tour guide, Anna, has profound knowledge of almost everything in the region.
Too much in too little time.
Daniel_C, Dec 2024
The tour probably tried to squeeze too much into a short period of time. You essentially get frogmarched through the streets with no time to go into any of the sites and the time at Pont du Gard was really not enough to enjoy it. Ok if you just want to check boxes, inadequate if you want to take everything in.
French and Roman architecture galore!
cboggie44, Dec 2024
Our guide showed us three lovely parts of the French countryside (Nimes, Uzes and Pont du Gard). The five hour tour was well balanced with history and sightseeing but your experience may vary if the group is large (we had two total guests which was lovely). 6 hours would have been ideal because Uzes has a lovely restaurant area that would have been great for a lunch break along the tour! There was an opportunity to get sandwiches, ice cream, etc at Pont du Gard. Great time and definitely recommend the tour! Thank you Anne!
