Your medieval Paris walking tour starts along the Seine at the oldest bridge across the river.

Next, you'll visit the Conciergerie, the oldest remaining part of the Palais de la Cité. This former royal residence of the kings of France became a prison during the French Revolution, with its most famous inmate being Marie Antoinette. Enter with pre-reserved tickets for a guided tour of this incredible piece of French history.

Skip the long lines and step inside to marvel at its stunning stained glass windows. You'll enjoy a more peaceful experience visiting in the afternoon after the crowds have left. Your guide will share fascinating insights into the chapel's history and the significance of the artwork.

Stop atCathedrale Notre-Dame de Paris
As you approach the iconic Notre-Dame, your guide will take you back in time hundreds of years to when the mighty cathedral (the distance from which all points in France are measured) was first built and Paris looked very different than it does today. You'll be among the first to experience Notre-Dame's reopening after the 2019 fire—a true once-in-a-lifetime experience. Before you enter Notre-Dame for a self-guided tour (fully guided tours resume June 9, 2025), your guide will leave you with a special treat: a voucher for a river cruise along the Seine where you can drink in Paris's magnificent buildings from a new vantage point. The cruise will last one hour and offers live commentary on board.

Liliya was an amazing guide, offering a very insightful tour of Paris' medieval quarter and Île de la Cité. We learned so much about the city's history, including the significance of the Conciergerie, Notre Dame, Sainte Chapelle, Louis IX, medieval conventions, and stories of Marie Antoinette and the French Revolution. Abby was incredibly knowledgeable and told great stories… made the history fun and memorable. Ste Chapelle was excellent but really loved the Conciergerie…fascinating. And the Ride in the Seine was fantastic. Highly recommend this tour!
