As part of Operation Overlord, American troops stormed ashore under a hail of enemy fire, facing daunting obstacles and heavy casualties. Yet, their unwavering resolve and extraordinary bravery paved the way for the liberation of Europe. Today, Omaha Beach stands as a hallowed ground, a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by thousands of Allied soldiers who fought and died here. Established in 1944, this meticulously maintained cemetery provides a poignant reminder of the price of freedom. Its rows of white marble crosses and Stars of David offer a sobering sight, while the Memorial, inscribed with the names of over 1,500 missing soldiers, serves as a timeless symbol of honor and remembrance. A MUST TRY SIDE CAR TOUR
U6221XGcarlosq, Dec 2024
Phenomenal! Where do I begin. From the beginning our experience with MANUEL was amazing. After initial booking, our plans were still not complete so we didn’t exactly know where we were staying. Manuel contacted us and was very flexible on where to pick up. When we met up with him he immediately started spitting facts about not just d day, but the city, country, and events. Not only was he really knowledgeable on many topics, especially about the landings, he was a great conversationalist and it didnt seem like he was just reading off a book.
The riding experience was so much fun and seeing the country side was an experience we didn’t think we’d get, but appreciate dearly.
During the tour itself, Manuel continued to share his knowledge about the surrounding area, the landings, and all the different things that it affected in the following years. After the tour, he was even flexible in where to drop us off.
100% satisfied with our tour and would recommend to anyone!

Manuel was exceptional. His personality was calm, fun, kind, he was an excellent driver, knew all about Normandy and D Day. The motorcycle took us through the country so we experienced small towns, farms, castles, neighborhoods. Really fun experience and a great way to learn a lot about the war and culture. We want to return and go on another trip with him! 10/10!

Manuel was an excellent guide and driver: experienced, friendly, knowledgable, and a great sense of humor. Driving in the sidecar was exhilarating and novel. The Normandy tour of the beach and the cemetery was informative and done in a very respectful manner. Manuel’s time management was also excellent. Thank you for a most memorable experience.
