Best three hours on a bike

Mary_W, Nov 2024

I had an amazing bike ride through Bordeaux with Mik. So informative and really enjoyed seeing Bordeaux on a bike. I would never have seen half the places we traveled to - especially on the right bank. The history of Bordeaux came to life through Miks storytelling. We had some good laughs. Thoroughly enjoyed my Sunday. Cannot recommend enough!

Just ok.

Alexandra_G, Nov 2024

Very kind and positive owner/guide!

The biking tour was just ok for us, the information during our stops was presented quickly and with images to help understand the subject matter but was done not in an organized matter and too quickly, that we got lost in the information overload often.

Alexandra,

Thank you for your feedback. Our biking tour is designed to offer a quick yet comprehensive overview of Bordeaux’s rich history, covering 12 km in 3 hours. We understand that the pace may feel quick for some, as we aim to showcase both the historical and modern aspects of the city.

During the tour, we journey through time, from the Roman era to modern-day Bordeaux. The city has undergone significant transformations, with remnants of its Roman past still visible alongside its contemporary architecture. This is why our tour is called “Bordeaux Through the Ages”—to help guests understand the city’s evolution over the centuries.

We provide images and concise information at each stop to give a sense of how Bordeaux has changed. It seems that this overview approach may not have matched your expectations for detail. For those looking for a more in-depth exploration of specific periods or areas, a private tour may be more suitable, as it allows for a slower pace and more detailed explanations tailored to individual interests.

We appreciate your comments and hope they will help us improve our guests’ experiences in the future.

Best,

Mika

Historic cycling in Bordeaux

Viajeconpelucas, Nov 2024

We took this cycling tour of Bordeaux and it was actually better than expected. Edwin was our tour guide, he was well prepared and very knowledgeable of the city. He answered all questions with precision and kept a very pleasant pace for us. Not slow not fast but balanced.

The tour guide also had a framework for the tour focusing on the city evolution and innovation. Thus, the story telling was enhanced by this, connecting all the sites and history as we went thru.

Lovely introduction to Bordeaux

A lovely introduction to the city and its history. Mica was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide and we highly recommend the experience.

Great way for family to see the city

DocAmandaE, Nov 2024

The tour exceeded our expectations. The guide was great, she had excellent English, was knowledgeable and well-prepared (with photos and pictures to accompany talk). Gentle cycling pace and mostly very flat. We were worried the traffic may be busy (Saturday morning) but it was quiet and we were mostly off-road on cycle paths. Highly recommend as a way to see the city in a short time. My boys (12 and 16y) loved it.
