A fun and interesting afternoon out

This is a great tour. I went with my wife and we both had a lovely time . The locations were very nice, our guide Clem was very knowledgeable and answered my many questions about terroir and variations in wine excellently. I would definitely recommend this tour

Superb wine tour of Bordeaux with Maud

Maud is the best. She is extremely knowledgeable and very fun to be around. She taught us a lot about Bordeaux wines, vintages and the area (terroir). She made the tour interesting and educational as well as very fun.
Explore, learn and taste wine in the beautiful region of Bordeaux
travangelo06, Dec 2024
An amazing way to explore, learn and taste wine in the beautiful region of Bordeaux. The tour included a visit 2 vineyard and Saint Emilion. You get plenty of red wine to taste, no white wine on this tour. The visit to Saint Emiliion was amazing. It was such a beautiful town that had many great local shops and historical buildings. We couldn't spend too much time there, but it was a good brief visit. Our guide also brought us to a great wine shop, a local deli/cheese shop, and the best view of the town. There were so many positive things I can say about this tour, but the one thing that made this spectacular and different from other wine tours I've done was our guide, Maud. She brought so much fun energy and a wealth of knowledge of wine. I learned so much about the wine in Bordeaux, what it made it unique from the rest of the wine regions, and tips on how to select wine in the store (thanks, now I don't have to go by how cute the label is :)) This was truly the highlight of my quick visit to Bordeaux and just made me want to go back ASAP to explore other regions. I 110% recommend this tour!
Expensive for what it was. Expected a little more.

Nate, the guide was great, but don’t think it was worth the price. Not appreciating that the feedback I’ve given is not considered enough! I’m taking my holiday time yo do this.

Fifth growth Grand Cru Classe Visit (lowest of the high tier)
eclo90, Dec 2024
We visited a 5th growth Grand Cru Classe (the lowest of the 1855 designations) which was a good tasting but I wish that was made known up front. We were supposed to visit Chateau Margaux for a picture but it was skipped; this was something I was looking forward to. The second winery was completely forgettable and I wish they just took us to another 1855 winery but of higher growth to compare. Not for wine aficionados, it’s more of a tour that gives you a surface level understanding of the Medoc region. Unfortunately, not many other tours are available. I understood from later groups that if you did a private tour with Bordeaux Wine Trails, they take you to a second growth winery. This is too bad because if the wine visits are cheap anyway, the cost should be marginal for them to take us to better wineries. Basically, consider the price you pay for this the cost of an Uber ride to a so-so winery, and a bonus tasting of a random small production spot.
