Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop atParis
Departure from Starbuck’s Odeon where you could have a café and croissant while waiting.
2 hours (approx.)・No admission tickets required
Stop atCathedrale Notre-Dame de Reims
A recently restored Cathedral where most kings since Clovis were crowned is a true moment to discover. All stained glass was replaced with classic works up until two notable artists modernised the stories to be told. Marc Chagall miraculously kept his style and Imi Knoebel will wow you with impressive cubic colour. I will tell you some details so that when you arrive you'll do a fairly quick tour and know what to look for.
30 minutes (approx.)・Admission included
Stop atAbbaye Saint-Pierre d'Hautvillers
Where the idea of Champagne was born. Still to this day the methods written by Dom Pierre Perignon hold true. The church has a very important part in history. This will be a guided tour short enough but important in the understanding of Champagne and its history. We'll drive through the picturesque village and go to the picnic area to make pictures or have a picnic and or drink some champagne.
30 minutes (approx.)・Admission included
Stop atCumières
Visit a small producer in a very up front intimate tour. Often this is the highlight of the day! You'll learn a lot, see a lot, and taste a lot. You can purchase champagne to take back or cold to have with you for lunch.
1 hour (approx.)・No admission tickets required
Stop atAvenue de Champagne
We'll take a drive up the richest avenue in the world. You'll have your lunch options here with some time to on your own. I'll point out the best places, which we will have done on the way to Reims.
1 hours and 30 minutes (approx.)・No admission tickets required
Stop atChampagne Mercier
In the afternoon, depending on scheduling possibilities, a mid to big producer visit will complete your day. It could be Mercier, Boizel, Moet & Chandon (often full) Charles Mignon, or Nicolas Feuillatte in Chouilly. If none are available there are lots of smaller ones to visit with great champagnes to taste.
1 hours and 30 minutes (approx.)・Admission included

The best champagne region tour
B4065SEpatrickg, Dec 2024
Neil is the best tour guide for the region, and his knowledge is incredible. I can’t recommend this trip enough. This was the best day of our trip to Paris!

Thanks for the perfect review. You both made for an ideal trip out, the best weather helped made the picnic over the valley a real treat. We were able to visit 4 places , with two tours. Indeed great memories again made!
Great day in Champagne!
Tamara_C, Dec 2024
Neil made it a great day in Champagne! All I knew about champagne before our tour was that I enjoyed drinking it. After our day with Neil we had a great understanding of the process and depth of the options out there. So much more to explore and learn! Thanks for making it a great birthday!

It was such a pleasure to have you two out on a special day. Everyone likes champagnes yet the only way to truly discover it is to be there, if only for a short day (well rather a long day). That we did and you were great company to enjoy that day we celebrated. Come back we'll do it again someday!
Great champagne tour!
TammyCryer, Dec 2024
Neil did an amazing tour for us today! Learned so much about champagne houses, the history and the region. Great cave tours with the right amount of education and explanation. In addition to the local guides at each champagne house Neil’s knowledge of the area, history, process and tastings added so much more to the day. Great day!

A fabulous day together. And, a very good reason to celebrate, being your birthday! Each tour is different, often very small groups or just a couple makes it easy for me to customise your day. Your knowledge of so many other wines in the world, even beyond into Bourbon Whisky Cognac was superb adding to the day filled with shared experiences of what we love. A day in Champagne changes how we feel about the wonderful bubbly drink they make with so much love. So glad to have you out there, would love to see you again!
Fun day in the champagne region of France

I loved the countryside and all the information that Neil and Jessica provided. We learned so much about champagne and tasted a variety of excellent champagnes. Lunch at the Inn was wonderful too. Moët tour was really interesting and our guide was very knowledgeable. Super tour!

Even if the planned day changed at the last minute I am so happy to have you out there for the day. Memories were made, fun in discovering the history as well as tasting prestige Moet & Chandon as well as lots of other prestige Premier Cru champagnes. Thanks so much for the very positive review.
Fun Trip with Our Guide Neil
E627NPdenisem, Dec 2024
During our stay in Paris, Neil took us on a tour of the Champagne region in Epernay. Neil took us through the history and culture of the region. We toured a small house where we toured the cavernous area where they store the champagne to age. We were then treated to a few samples. We also toured Moet & Chandon where Dom Perignon is produced. We enjoyed Neil’s choice of two very different houses—small to big—to learn about the laborious process of grapes to champagne. Neil picked us up at our hotel, stopped for photo opportunities, reserved lunch at a quaint town lunch, and answered all our questions with expertise and calm personality. We highly recommend taking a tour with Neil!

Thank you it was a wonderful tour having you along. We did a lot, saw a lot, tasted a lot in a full day. By visiting a large (luckily we had reserved M&C a long time in advance) you were able to discover their immense historic cellars where they age all the prestige champagnes including Dom Perignon. Lunch at Kobus is always a high class gastronomic experience! A great day in Champagne making lots of memories. Perhaps see you again out there.
