Head back in time to the period when the Louvre was a fortress, as you walk through the shadows of the Medieval Foundations. Soon you will come face to face with the Great Sphinx of Tanis whose riddles have puzzled for thousands of years. Throughout your tour you will walk past thousands of paintings, sculptures and artifacts, and hear scandalous tales of murder and cannibalism. Your tour has been carefully planned to stop at over a dozen of the world’s most well-known works of art, all of which hold secrets and gossip, bringing it all to life in a new way you never imagined. The tour concludes at the most famous lady of them all, Mona Lisa. From here, once you tear yourself away from the bewitching Mona Lisa smile, you are free to stay in the museum as long as you wish and your tour guide will provide handy tips for other marvels to behold on your own.

Great way to see the Louvre

Lea was a great tour guide. She has a wealth of knowledge and navigated us to the best parts of the museum. She made it a point to show the important pieces and gave us good background on them as well. Highly recommended.

The tour was remarkably educational, expertly led by our tour guide Sid. He cultivated a wonderful environment, and I loved his positive atmosphere and humor. Most importantly, the baby Jesuses were all beautiful.

Local view points of surrounding area of the Louvre including major landmarks and the history behind them. I appreciate the little tips of favorite spots along Seine river bank, Metro station, what to watch out for while walking around town and on the subway, and how to navigate the overwhelming artwork with how much available time we have at the Louvre.

What a high quality and fun tour. Me and my kids (ages 9 and 12) enjoyed it more than expected. Austin was an enthusiastic guide and also gave us some great tips for the museum (we did the outside walking tour and then skip the line tickets into the museum). Highly recommend!
